I woke up to find myself still in the library, the only difference was everything was shrouded in darkness.

I blinked, my eyes adjusting to the dimness of the room. How long had it been? I didn't even remember falling asleep.

I sat up only to feel the soft weight of a body falling into me. I squinted at the figure leaning against me.

Ivanna.

I carefully freed the arm she was lying on and lowered her down until she was lying across her chair, head resting on my thigh. She looked so peaceful as she slept curled like a baby, her mouth parted slightly and eyes shut gently. Her brows were missing their usual frown and her hair cascaded around her like a dark halo.

Something in my chest squeezed as I looked at her, really looked at her.

She was beautiful. And not in a I-wanted-to-fuck-her way (even though I did), but also in a breath-taking way that made you want to get on your knees and thank her parents for making her.

I breathed out a soft sigh. There was genuinely no way I was going to perform well in the first match of the new season if she was all I could think about.

I pushed back a strand of hair from her face, the moon illuminating it from the window. I breathed in deeply, her strawberry scent filling my nose.

I never knew you could be addicted to someone's scent.

I wanted to reach down and latch my lips onto hers, to re-live that moment In the halls were she first ran into me. I eyed the shape of her lips, recalling the brief sensation of them on my own.

"Kioshi?"

She blinked up at me, eyes cloudy.

I smiled, "How was your sleep Bambi?"

She attempted to lift herself off my lap, placing her hand on my thigh to support herself. I stifled a groan at the feeling of her slender fingers on my upper thigh.

"What time is it? I don't remember falling asleep." She rubbed at her eyes, swivelling her head around to take in the dark library.

I shrugged, "I don't think we're supposed to be in here this late though."

As if on cue, a set of footprints sounded along with the jangling of keys not too far away.

Her head snapped to me, eyes wide as she whispered, "Shit, if we get caught here this late..."

She didn't have to finish her sentance. We would be in alot of trouble, and coach already wasn't too happy with me, I couldn't risk anything that meant angering him further.

The footprints sounded, closer this time, "Is someone there?"

I grabbed her hand, pressing a finger to my lip. She nodded frantically, eyes wide as she understood. I stood up, peering around the nearest bookcase, pulling her along with me.

A torch flashed in our direction and I turned to her, pointing in the direction of the door. A silent countdown followed once she nodded.

3...

"Hey! You know you shouldn't be here this late!"

2...

The footsteps quickened.

1.

I darted out, pulling her behind me as we raced towards the door.

"Hey!"
