I finally reached my flat.

It was around 4 in the afternoon.

The journey had been a bit tiring, but the moment I stepped inside, a strange sense of comfort wrapped around me.

I kept my luggage aside and stretched my arms.

"Finally..." I murmured to myself.

After freshening up, the first thing I did was call my nanna.

He picked up on the first ring.

"I reached safely, nanna." I said.

"okay..Did you eat anything?" he asked immediately.

I smiled. Same old nanna.

"Not yet. I'll eat in some time. Dont worry nanna."

"Okay mythu. Take care. Call me if you need anything."

"Hmm... okay nanna."

I cut the call, but his concern stayed in my heart.

I lay down on the bed for a while.

The room was quite.

Usually, by now, the house would be filled with noise -- with sowmya's shouting, sandhya's laugh and me scolding both of them.

But today...

Slience.

I sighed and got up.

The house needed cleaning.

We had been away for more than a month, and dust made itself comfortable everywhere.

My friends were not here yet.

They would arrive tomorrow.

Sowmya, even though lives in warangal, couldn't come with me because of wedding function.

And sandhya...

Her father got transferred to Vizag recently, so she had gone there.

"Great...today full cleaning duty is mine." i muttered.

I tied my hair into loose bun and started cleaning the house.

Dusting...

Arranging things...

Wiping surfaces...

By the time I was done, I was completely exhausted.

The night felt long as I finished a simple dinner alone. The house feels empty without the usual chaos and their presence filling the rooms.

But tomorrow, everything would be back normal.

With that thought, I slowly drifted into sleep.

Warm sunrays fell gently on my face, disturbing my sleep.

I blinked my eyes open.

I am early riser anyway... so it didn't bother me much.

After freshening up, I went straight to the kitchen.

Today is Sunday.

No college.

But i had an important task... to call my friends.

I picked up mu phone and dialed sowmya.
