When She Broke, He held.

Morning scene... When she gained conscious.
Morning came slowly for Mythili, the light filtering through the hospital curtains like a soft, intrusive reminder that she had survived the night.
Her eyes fluttered open, just slightly. Her lips felt parched, like sandpaper, as she tried to wet them. Everything around her looked blurry, distant, and cold. Her body felt numb, a strange heavy sensation weighing down her limbs. At first, she didn't understand where she was. The white ceiling, the smell of antiseptic, the rhythmic beep of a monitor—it was all alien.
Then, the floodgates opened.
The memories hit her like a physical blow. Those predatory hands... those blurred, drunken faces... the sound of her own dress tearing. Her breath hitched, turning into a sharp, painful gasp.
"No... no...!"
She started struggling against the sheets, her heart racing so wildly it felt like it would burst from her chest. The IV stand rattled as she tried to pull away from phantom touches.
"Ahh... leave me...! Please...!"
Hearing her frantic screams, Sowmya rushed to her side from the corner chair. "Mythu! Look at me... no one is here. You're safe... you're with us." she said, her voice thick with emotion as she pulled her into a tight hug, gently rubbing her back to ground her.
But she kept crying, her eyes squeezed shut, still trapped in that dark corner near the terrace. "Mythu... open your eyes. It's me... your Sowmi. Sandhya is here too."
Slowly, feeling the warmth of a familiar embrace and the soft, desperate voice of her friend, she opened her eyes. She looked at them—Sowmya's tear-streaked face and Sandhya crying silently beside her.
"Sowmi... Sandhya..." she whispered, her voice a broken thread.
"Sowmyaaaaaa!!!!!!!"
The next second, the dam broke completely. She wailed, a primal sound of agony, clinging to Sowmya like she was her only anchor in a storm. The three of them cried together—a shared grief and the terrifying realization of what could have happened if she hadn't fought with every ounce of her soul.
After a while, Sandhya wiped her eyes and took a deep, shuddering breath. "Enough... stop crying. Mythu, please... Sowmi, you have to be strong for her." she said, trying to steady her own voice. She cupped Mythili's face gently. "Mythu kanna... look at me."
She slowly looked up, her hiccups jerky and painful.
"You're safe. We are right here. No one—and I mean no one—will ever hurt you again." Sandhya said with a fierce protectiveness. She nodded, clutching Sowmya's hand.
"Sowmya, give her some water. I'll call the doctor." Sandhya said.
Sowmya helped her sit up, supporting her with a mountain of pillows, and made her drink water slowly. She sighed as the cool liquid soothed her raw throat. Soon, the doctor entered the room.
"How are you feeling, Miss Mythili?" he asked, checking her vitals.
"My body is aching... and my neck hurts... but I'm okay." she replied softly, her voice barely audible.
"I'll prescribe the final round of medicines. The neck wound is a bit deep—apply the ointment regularly so it doesn't scar. You'll be fine." he said. He turned to her friends. "Give her light food. Juices at regular intervals—she's dehydrated. You can take her home by the afternoon."
