His Way of Loving.
──── ❤︎ ───
It was evening, and Mythili was in the kitchen preparing dinner. Ram was still at the office, likely caught up in a case.
As she was rolling out the chapattis, she heard her phone ringing on top of the fridge. She wiped her hands and picked it up. It was her mother, Vasu.
"Hello, Amma..."
"Hello Mythu... how are you, maa?"
"Ha, bagunna amma. Meeru ela unnaru?" ("I'm fine, Amma. How are you?")
"Memu bagunnamu. Epudu vasthunnav intiki?" Vasu asked from the other end. ("We are fine. When are you coming home?")
"Tomorrow, Amma... I'm taking the morning train, the Telangana Express. I'll reach there by 8:30 AM. Tell Nanna to pick me up."
"Early morning train? Why Mythu? What is the need to come that early? Have your breakfast and come by bus." Vasu replied.
"No Amma... that rakshasi [devil] is calling me continuously. She's shouting at me for not coming a week before the wedding. Tomorrow she is planning to go shopping and wants me to accompany her at least for this." She replied, roasting the chapattis on the pan.
"Shopping? Three days before the wedding? What is left to do now?"
"Don't ask, Maa... she's eating my brain. I think she needs some personal stuff." She said, dropping veggies into the pan and stirring them.
"Oh."
"Amma... tell Nanna to pick me up in the morning."
Here talk to your dad. Vasu passed the phone to suresh.
"Hello... How are you, maa?"
"Super, nanna. How are you?"
"Good, good. So, you are coming tomorrow?"
"Ha nanna... morning Telangana express ki vasthunna." (Yes daddy, I'm coming by the Telangana express in the morning.)
"Okay... You'll stay here till the weekend, right?" her nanna asked with so much hope in his voice.
Sowmya's wedding was on Wednesday, but he was asking her to stay until Sunday. Her parents were missing her so much. It had been a month since she married, and they were so happy in their small nest.
She had adopted the change in environment very quickly. Her in-laws were super supportive and treated her like their daughter. And Ram... there was no chance to even question him; he was perfect.
After their first night at her home, she never visited her parents again. She was missing them badly. Due to his work commitments, she hadn't visited, not that she was complaining.
During their last visit, they didn't stay more than a day. She wanted to stay, but because of Ram, they returned the very next day after their nuptial night. Other than talking on the phone, she hadn't seen them.
Though he never stopped her from going home—in fact, that day he had asked her to stay with her parents for a few days—her Amma insisted they should leave for his home together. So, they had returned with no choice. Since then, they had been busy settling into their new life.
Now, her Nanna was asking her to stay for more days, and her heart was craving to be with them. BUT Ram...? Will he be okay if I stay there? It wasn't that he would stop her, but he always wanted her by his side. He is so possessive about her. He doesn't even allow her to stay at her in-laws' place without him being there.
