The train pulled into the station with a rhythmic screech of metal, and Mythili was the first one at the door.

As she stepped onto the platform, her eyes scanned the bustling crowd, searching for a familiar face. Then, she saw him. A wide, glowing smile broke across her face, radiating the kind of happiness only home can bring.

"Nannaa!" she called out, waving her hand frantically to grab his attention.

Her father turned at the sound of her voice, his face lighting up with an equal measure of joy.

She didn't walk; she ran, throwing her arms around him in a bone-crushing hug.

"Nanna... ela unnav?" she asked, pulling back to look at him.

(How are you, Dad?)

"I'm fine, maa... but how is my Mythu?" He asked, tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear.

"First class, Nanna!" she replied with a giggle.

"Come, let's go. Your mother has been pacing the kitchen since five in the morning. She's dying to see you."

He took her luggage, and as they rode home on his bike, She felt the familiar air of her hometown wrap around her like a warm blanket.

The moment they reached their house, she hopped off and dashed inside, her voice echoing through the halls.

"Amma! Ammaaaaaaaaa!"

Her mother emerged from the kitchen, wiping her hands on her apron, a huge smile on her face. She pulled Mythili into a warm embrace, smelling of spices and home.

"How are you, mythu?"

"I'm fine, Mummy. Mmm... something smells amazing. What are you cooking?"

"Chicken biryani, chicken gravy, and chapathis," her mother replied, chuckling at her wide-eyed expression.

"Wah... mouth-watering, Amma! I can't wait!"

"Go freshen up first, then we'll have lunch together."

Mythili rushed to her room, tossing her bag aside. Before doing anything else, she quickly messaged him and her friends to let them know she had arrived safely.

She spent the afternoon wrapped in the love of her parents, enjoying a hearty lunch and small talk.

She carefully avoided mentioning the dark night she had faced; she didn't want to shadow their happiness with worry.

After the meal, the traveling exhaustion finally caught up with her, and she drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep.

A Night....

Mythili took a walk with her dad after dinner. She came to her room and laid on the bed. She took her phone from the bedside stand to look whether he replied to her message or not.

No..he was just seen the message but not replied back. She sighed, thinking whether to call him or not.

While Mythili was safe in her childhood bedroom, the atmosphere in Hyderabad was cold and clinical.

Ram and Sravan were sitting in a high-level meeting, surrounded by senior officials. The air was thick with tension and the smell of expensive tobacco.
