Frankie POV
I stand at the front door with my mom as she knocked. We waited until the large door opened. We stepped in as my god mom walked through the foyer.
I smile.
I meet her half way and we hug.
My god mom. Kierra Kelly. Has to be one of most dangerous women in the south, but to me she was another parent.
"I have to threaten you, for you to come and see me?" She asks as we pull apart.
"I'm sorry." I say
"Come on T." She says to my mom
She takes my hand and leads all three of us into the living room, where we sat on her big black sofa. It's so comfortable and always has been.
"Y'all want something to drink?" She's asks
"Yes" me and my mom both say
She leaves out the room and comes back a few moments later with 3 glasses and wine. Damn this gone be my 3rd cup. I'm going to be drunk by the end of the night.
She pours our drinks, before sitting next to me, putting me in the middle.
"So how was California?" She asks
"Great. I'm not fully healed from it all but I'm definitely better than what I was before."
"Did you tell her?" She asks
I look at my momma.
"Yea, I told her."
"Told me what?" Momma asks
"About my pregnancy."
She looks at my Auntie Ki.
"You knew?" She asks
"Yes, I knew."
She sits up.
"Why you ain't say nothing?"
Oh shit.
"I asked her not to, I wanted to tell you myself." I say
