Daryl, Rick and Hershel went out to talk to The Governor. Andrea had arranged it.

I was sitting in the common room, reading a book. A new one if you can believe it. I found the library yesterday, and got a lot of books from there.

Everyone had put ammo and guns all over the prison, outside on the courtyard and inside the cell block.

Carl, Rick and Michonne went out yesterday. Something had happened to Carl which was bothering him. I knew that because he was now walking towards me.

Cark sat down in front of me. "Do you wanna check the tombs, to clear them again?" He asked.

"I was there yesterday, I cleared it out with Daryl." I replied, wondering why he would ask me that. He knew that.

"Yeah," He paused. "but they could be overrun again. So we need to check."

"Sure..." I replied unsure, I started to figure out his intention. He wanted to talk where no one could be eavesdropping, except the walkers. "Let me just grab my things."

I walked back into the common room, geared up. Carl was ready too, he was wearing his bulletproof vest from the guards. "Where are you going?" Glenn's voice asked from behind us as Carl and I started to walk out.

I turned around. "Clearing the tombs, Daryl and I didn't check them completely yesterday. Ran into the library. Carl wanted to help me out." I put up a believable lie. Glenn nodded, he fell for it. Carl and I walked out.

We were walking in the empty tombs for a while. "What do you want to talk about?" I asked when we reached the cafeteria.

He sighed and opened the door. "Yesterday."

We sat down on the floor, against the door. Hershel's leg was still lying there, on the floor, surrounded by a dried up puddle of blood.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Shot a man." He replied blankly. "He lived, but I didn't- I didn't feel like I did something wrong before I knew he was wearing a bulletproof vest."

"Why?"

"He was shooting at dad." He looked down at the floor.

"You protected him, the man lived so you didn't do anything wrong." I told him as I put my arm around him. He leaned into me and started to cry. "Hey, it's okay. You didn't do anything wrong, you wanted to protect your father." I paused. "Normally he's supposed to protect you, you know. But you kinda did his job for him, so I don't see the problem."

He chuckled and hugged me as I hugged him.

"How is it that almost when we talk, I suddenly become your therapist?"

He laughed softly in between his cries. "I dunno."

I smiled. I always found a way to cheer him up. Maybe that's why he likes talking to me about his problems and frustrations instead of anyone else from our group.

Rick, Daryl and Hershel returned. I was back with Carl, he seemed to be doing better.

Rick told us everything that happened. He wanted us dead. But we're going to fight. It fell insanely quiet.

Daryl and I were keeping watch.

"Nothing's happening." I concluded after an hour.

"Yup." Daryl nodded. "Ain't nothin' gonna happen. Not today. He and Rick are gonna meet again in two days."

"No they aren't. He's gonna meet us in two days."

"Most likey, yeah." He paused. "Anyway, how're you doin' lately? You haven't given me a proper answer."
