Everyone was planning our route. Daryl wasn't and neither was I. I was leaning on one of the cars. "What happened?" He asked as he moved next to me.

"Got left behind."

"I didn't see you after you ran into the herd. Didn't see anything." He looked down at his fidgeting fingers.

"Yeah, no one did. It was chaos last night. Found your note though." I grabbed it out of my bag and handed it to him.

"I didn't leave a note." He said as he inspected it.

"What?"

"I never left a note. I was to busy fightin' the walkers. And this ain't my handwriting. I left ye a note when I left camp after the girl."

"Well who did leave me this note then?"

"Dunno." Daryl paused and handed me the note back. "Are you gonna tell me why you're coverd in guts?"

"I had a plan to not die. This is the execution." I replied and all he did was nod. "I wanted to take a bath in the creek but it was freezing, so I didn't." Daryl nodded again. "Are you gonna tell me what happened to you?"

He looked around. The group was looking down at a map and discussing, not paying attention to us. Daryl grabbed my jaw and pulled me into a kiss. It felt magical

For some reason I missed this

Whenever Daryl left I always felt a bit lonelier. We had been so close since the C.D.C. He was always there for me. Just his presence always made me feel better. He'd be there if I cried, he'd be there if I laughed. He'd always be anywhere I was. He was my best friend. Although I've known for some time I wanted him to be more than that.

I liked kissing with Daryl. I loved kissing him, it always made me feel wanted. I liked Daryl. I really liked Daryl.

The kiss ended way to soon. I stared into his beautiful blue eyes as he stared in to my hazel ones.

"Emris, Daryl. We're gonna go." Rick said breaking our moment.

I joined Glenn and Family Greene in the Hyundai. Daryl and Carol were driving on the bike and the rest in the red car.

---

Rick pressed his horn and we all stopped. Everyone got out of their cars. We were gathering at the front by Daryl's bike.

"You out?" He asked.

"Running on fumes." Rick answerd.

"We can't stay here." Maggie said.

"We can't all fit in one car." Glenn acknowleged.

"We'll have to make a run for some gas in the morning." Rick added.

"Spend the night here?" Carol mentioned.

"I'm freezing." Carl said and Rick gave him his jacket. Lori suggested we'd build a fire.

"You go out lookin' for firewood, stay close. Only got so many arrows. How you doin' on ammo?" Daryl asked.

"Not enough." Rick answed.

"I got some, not a lot but not nothing either." I said.

"We can't just sit here with our asses hanging out." Maggie stated. Hershel told her to watch her mouth. She's 22, not 10.

"Everyone stop panicking and listen to Rick." He continued.

"All right, we'll set up a perimiter. In the morning we'll find some gas and some supplies. We'll keep pushing on." Rick explained the plan to us.
