*4 months later*

I woke up next to a very much asleep Daryl. He was softly snoring, as almost every morning. We had turned the bunk beds into a double bed. I looked to the other side of our room and saw that my son was also still very much asleep. You know what they say, 'like father, like son', or something.

Daryl cracked on of his eyes open. "Mornin'" He said in his sleepy voice. It was adorable. And I had the privilege of hearing it every morning.

"Good morning." I smiled.

"What do we gotta do today?"

"We've got a day off, except for the Big Spot thing." I said as I sat up.

Daryl sighed in reply and got up as well. "He's still very sleepy." He gestured to our son.

"That's a first. Usually when you wake up he does too." I chuckled softly. Daryl did as well. "I asked Carol to look in on him today."

"Alright."

"She actually asked me, but nevermind." I said and I stood up so I could get my pants on. When I did I got Atlas out of his bed gently in an attempt not to wake him, I failed and his eyes cracked open. Luckily he wasn't much of a crier, he mostly just babbled and smiled. He was so cute when he did. "Good morning, sleepy head." I said to Atlas in a baby voice. He gave me a chuckle.

"Did you hear that?" I asked Daryl, exited about our son's new achivement.

"What?" He asked, he'd almost fallen asleep again.

"Atlas chuckled." I said enthusiastically.

"For real?"

"No, for fake." I replied dryly and my son gave me another chuckle. "Oh, you think mommy's funny?" I said in a baby voice, while tapping his cheek.

"Shut up." Daryl whined jokingly.

I walked outside to the courtyard with Atlas cradled in my arms, I was gonna look for Carol later. A lot of hello's came from everyone I came across. We were giving the people of Woodbury and others sanctuary.

I saw Daryl was discussing the plan with Carol. He had finally woken up properly. He came over to me. "Pretty big build up last night." He said as he walked over to the inside fence. I nodded as I saw what he meant.

I moved over to Carol. "Take good care of him, I'll have to kill you if you don't." I said as I handed her my son.

"I will, wouldn't dare to do otherwise." She replied. "Goodbye,2 mama." She waved with his hand. I waved back.

I walked to the cars we were taking for the run. Daryl was loading stuff in there, I helped him. Zach, Beth's boyfriend, was coming along too.

Unfortunately when he loaded in his stuff Beth walked by. They had a hello kiss and talked for a bit. Beth gave him another kiss and walked away. "Okay, are you gonna say goodbye?" Her boyfriend asked.

"Nope." She replied happily and continued walking.

"It's like a damn romance novel." Daryl came into the scene with a crate.

"Says you, Mr. Romeo." I replied and kissed him.

"Shut up."

I walked over to the outside kitchen and got a plate. A little kid called Luke ran over to me. "Hey, buddy." I laughed as he gave me a hug. I might've sort of adopted him. He didn't call me mom, but he did always do exactly this when he saw me. "Are you going out today?" The little boy asked me. I nodded. "Will you come back?"
