The following day, Zyrah was packed with her essentials and some necessities for Blueheart, mainly some tools in case her saddle had to be fixed. She made sure to attach a specially made satchel clipped onto the saddle.

She felt a little bad to be leaving her new friends behind, but little did she know, they had a plan to get her out of this situation. As the group helped Zyrah up onto the ship, Blueheart perched on the stern, carefully watching Einar and Ragnhild.

"Uh, does she do that often?" Ragnhild asked, glancing up uneasily at the piercing blue eyes of the female.

"All the dragons do that. It's not weird, you'll get used to it." Zyrah assured, hopping up over the rail of the port side.

"Zyrah," Hiccup called, rushing up the gangplank, "just be careful, okay? I know they're your birth parents and you want a connection, but they're still reeling from Drago's fall. Don't feel like you gotta stick around if something goes wrong."

"We'll be waiting here." Konall comforted, pressing a kiss to the side of her head. While the new young couple never explicitly stated that they were now dating, it was very evident that they were. Even Einar and Ragnhild noticed the interaction.

"I know. Hopeful I'll see you all soon." After helping to adjust the sails and ropes with Einar, Zyrah waved goodbye. Blueheart leaped off to help push the ship back off the shore, flapping her wings to provide wind in the sails.

Once she finished, she made her way back onto the deck, watching as the group became smaller and smaller as they sailed away.

And once the ship was gone, everyone turned to Konall, as no one had missed the kiss he gave Zyrah.

"You're dating now?!" Ana exclaimed.

"Uh, not that we announced it, but yeah..." Konall replied, trying not to turn red.

"I KNEW it!" Rurik laughed, slapping his best friend on the back.

"What?"

"Dude, the three of us grew up together. I'm not stupid, I've known for a while that you two have been crushing on each other. Can't say dad exactly figured it out immediately."

"Like with Hiccup and Astrid!" Fishlegs compared with a grin, garnering awkward grins from the pair. Ana beamed, slinging her arms around her best friend's shoulders.

"C'mon, we all know, and knew."

"Yeah yeah, thanks, Ana." Hiccup sighed.

"Anyway!" Konall interrupted, "what ought we do now? Since she's off and gone by now."

"Well, now that you mentioned it, we know what Einar and Ragnhild's actual intentions are." Konall and Rurik raised eyebrows, sending each other confused expressions.

"We broke into their ship-" Hiccup began, which caused both boys to widen their eyes.

"You did what?!" Hiccup sighed and started over.

"We broke into the ship to figure out what their intentions were. We all had a not-too-good feeling, and when we investigated, we found a whole plan that they've been devising to find the last Night Fury colony."

"Wait, really? That's what they're after?"

"We have no reason to believe otherwise," Ana explained.

"We think they want to use Zyrah and Blueheart in some way to achieve their goal."

"Man, imagine using your own kid like that," Snotlout admonished. The others couldn't help but agree, it was beyond wrong.

"We should warn your parents that she could be in danger," Konall said, turning to Rurik.

"I can't just outright say Zyrah got herself into danger intentionally!" Rurik exclaimed, "mom will freak out. We need a plan."

"Well, we shouldn't immediately chase after them," Fishlegs said.

"Why?"

"I bet you that they know we broke in, and they're probably expecting us to come after them, which will only put the girls in further danger. We can't risk that." Astrid explained.

"I agree, so we need to think this through."

"Can we see the map?" Rurik asked.

"Yeah, sure, let's head back to figure this out."

The riders made their way back to the village, and as they walked, Konall was deep in thought. He trusted Zyrah's judgment, but he worried for her. She could now be in danger and he didn't know where at sea she was. Sure, she had Blueheart, but what if Einar and Ragnhild had hunter weapons on their ship?

"Konall? Hey! Dude!" Rurik's voice broke through his daze.

"Huh?"

"You okay man? You zoned out there hard."

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just... stressed."

"I don't blame you." Hiccup assured, "been there many times. But we'll figure this out."

"I appreciate it."

They made their way to Grimar's house, where the older man greeted the familiar faces.

"Could we use your study for a moment, Grimar?" Rurik asked.

"Of course, feel free."

Hiccup then pulled out the map and sheets of paper he and the Riders discovered, and right off the bat, Rurik and Konall were curious about the circle drawn below their island.

"And what's that supposed to be?"

"What we assume is the location of the Night Fury colony," Ana replied.

"Hiccup doesn't even have your island or anything south marked on his own map, that's how unknown this area has been for us," Fishlegs explained. Meanwhile, the boys scanned the map, which they realized was the southern half of the archipelago.

"Huh, had no idea our world was so... big," Rurik observed.

"It's even bigger." Hiccup gloated. At his side, Astrid couldn't help but roll her eyes... and smile at the same time. There was so much that Hiccup had explored, but yet it seemed that there was so much he hadn't discovered yet. She could see the gears in his head turning.

With a huge grin, Hiccup reached into his breastplate, pulled out his journal, and revealed his ever-expanding map of the archipelago to the boys for the first time. And seeing the fascination in their eyes was incredibly rewarding for him.

He lay the map out flat on the table, which garnered an impressed whistle from Rurik.

"Holy shit man... that's insane."

"Ever since I met Toothless, it's been my goal to chart as much of the archipelago as I can. All kinds of dragon-occupied islands. Plus the islands of other Viking tribes, some enemies, some allies."

"That's so cool."

"Maybe... there's some way to prove or disprove the Night Fury colony island. I suggest we fly out and follow the direction that this circle is. Because, given that's where they're intended to go, I have little reason to believe we won't catch up to them, either close to this island, or on it."

"It's risky, with former dragon hunters."

"Yeah, but we're dragon Riders!" Ruffnut enthused. Hiccup chuckled.

"I love the energy, Ruff, and you're right. It's two against ten! Plus the dragons."

"Let's plan this out, and then get our girls back," Konall said, a new determination in his voice.
