"Bye, have a great night! See you guys Wednesday!" I wave, shutting the front door as I skip to my bike that's parked on the side of the house.
I had an amazing day. It's currently 5, and I just got off of a 4 hour "shift". Babysitting today consisted of me walking the baby for three miles to take a nap while Maria, the Mom, kept the boys busy until Dad got home from work since she had off from work today. I was in charge of making sure they were fed and in nice clothes so they could go to the boardwalk later on for family night.
I throw my bag into my bikes basket, at the same time I pull out my phone to see how far the country club is from here. It's humid out, and all I want to do is be in water. The beach is out because I don't really feel like dealing with the sand right now. My parents have had a membership at the country club for as long as we've had a house here and I can only count on one hand how many times we've come here.
I let out a small yes and throw my first in the air when I realize it's only 20 minutes away from me. I pull up Jeremiah's number and call him.
I start to ride my bike in the direction of the club hoping he picks up or calls back before I get there. After three rings, he does. "Are you okay?" Is the first thing that comes out of his mouth.
I let out a small chuckle. "Yes I'm sorry, I just am riding my bike and it's hard to type while riding my bike. Anyways, is the club busy today?" I ask.
"Actually kinda slow, why —" he lets out a loud gasp. "You're coming to visit me!" He screams. "Oh my god, you are! Is this the first time ever you're using your parents country club membership, it's about time!" He laughs.
"Yes I'm coming to visit, and yes it is the first time — without them with me at least. I just wanted to chill in a pool, I'm gunna text Conrad to meet me over there. See you soon, sorry for scaring you! I love you!" I say throwing the love out there so he can't stay mad at me.
"It's okay, you visiting makes up for it! I love you, see you soon. Be safe!" He says them hangs up.
I am lucky I brought a bathing suit this morning. I never know what babysitting will bring, sometimes we go to the beach, sometimes it's a park day. I bring a change of clothes, and a bathing suit everyday.
"Hey siri, call my love," I say out loud. Putting up my kick stand and start peddling in the direction of the club.
"Okay one moment. Calling my love," Siri says and then it starts ringing.
"Hi! Are you still working?" I ask.
"Nope, just got done. What about you?" Conrad asks. He sounds light today.
"Just got done too, I'm heading over to the club to go swimming. Want to meet me?"
"For sure, let me swing home and grab a swimsuit and I'll meet you over there."
"Okay, sounds good. See you there," I say, leaving off the I love you to tease him.
"I love you babe, see you soon." I grin to myself and say I love you back before he ended the call.

"Would you rather have feet for hands or hands for feet ," I shrug, taking a sip of water.
"Hmm," Conrad smirks placing his hand to his chin. He rubs slightly as if he's thinking, "I'd rather have hands for my feet," he says. "It's easier, I'll still have my normal hands right?" He asks.
"Yeah I suppose so, that does make sense."
Conrad let's out a small snort, "you asked the question, what do you mean makes sense," he mocks.
I roll my eyes, but a smile is on my lips. About an hour ago we took 50mg gummies, and I know they're finally kicking in because my gaze won't leave the water.
"Want to go in the water?" I ask voicing my thoughts.
"Are you okay?" He asks. It's also hitting him. I can see it in the way his eyes are barley open regardless of the fact that the sun is behind clouds. His voice was clear as he spoke, sobering up to make sure I'm okay.
I smile, and nod. "Great, just really need to get in the water." I say and put all my stuff away into my bag and zipper it.
When I get high, I think about something 9 times out of 10 I will not think about anything else until I get what I am thinking about. One of those times, is right now.
As I slip into the pool, I instantly let out a sigh of relief. The water isn't too cold, it's just right from being in the sun all morning. I squat down so I'm shoulder length in the water when Conrad comes up behind me and wraps his arms around my waist, resting his chin in the crook of my neck. I lean back into him, and press a hand to the side of his face.
"Ew, can you guys be any cuter. Im gunna throw up," it's Jeremiah's voice who breaks the blissful peace I felt for ten seconds.
"Hey," I smile. Conrad makes no effort to move.
"How high are you on a scale from one to ten," he laughs.
"Eleven," Conrad murmurs.
"Thought so, I saw red glowing from over here and thought it was blood. Turns out it was just your glowing red eyes," he shrugs, sitting in the side of the pool kicking his legs in the water.
I scoff, and Conrad laughs against my neck. "That was a good one," Conrad laughs.
"Yeah. Whatever, I guess," I shrug.
"When did you guys get here, did you sneak past me on purpose?" I tilt my head back to peak at Conrad. I can feel him laughing against me. His body is shaking each time he chuckles.
"No! Of course not!" I say, my voice getting high pitched.
"Claire, your voice just raised so high that it surpassed you." He stands up and quickly chucks his shirt off behind him.
He jumped in the pool, right in front of me, catching me completely off guard that I started choking on the water. Conrad pounds on my back, but frankly it only makes it worse. I gasp, moving myself over to the side of the pool to hold on. Catching my breath after a minute of water lodge lungs.
"That was so unnecessary!" I groan, leaning my back against the wall.
"That's what you get for being all cute and coupley in public," he winks before swimming away to talk to some girl.
"That's your brother," I say to Conrad.
He laughs, "that's your friend and future brother in law," he smiles sweetly at the last comment.
I grin, moving to wrap my arms around his neck. "Yeah, I guess he is." I agree, kissing him.
