Sierra POV

Ty and I told dad about what happened with Avery. We had to. It was too suspicious to let it slide.

We explained the whole thing, and he went to knock on her door.

No reply.

"Avery, it's daddy. Open the door."

After a few seconds, she did, but only her head was peaking out. She hiding something.

"Hey baby, everything okay?" He ask. She nods.

"Are you sure? Why were Sierra and Ty yelling?" She shrugs.

"No words?" She shakes her head.

"Okay, well imma come in. Is that okay?" She shakes her frantically.

"Okay, so you can tell me what's going on, or you can let me in. What's your choice?"

"Daddy i can explain." She says opening the door. They both sit on her bed. Ty and i stay at the door frame.

Her right pajama leg has a red spot on it.

"What happened to your leg, baby?"

"Nothing." She mutters.

"Avery, just say what happened." Ty says impatiently.

Silence.

"Ave-" ty starts.

"Nothing happened! I just wanna be alone." Avery says, suddenly in tears.

"Okay, Si and Ty out. I need to talk to Avery alone." Dad says.

Mike POV

Sierra and Ty left without a battle.

"okay Avery, what's going on?" I say, when they leave.

She just looks down. Tears start streaming down her face.

"Baby, what's going on?" I say, coming closer to her.

"Daddy...im scared." She says, after a few seconds of silence.

"Of what?"

"The medicine. Daddy, I cut myself. AGAIN. Why cant i just stop??" She says, sobbing.

"Come here, baby." I say, pulling her into a hug. She sobs for a few minutes.

"I want to stop daddy, but I cant."

"It's okay, baby." I say, rubbing her back.

"No, it's not! I was supposed to stop. The medicine didn't work, daddy!"

"Baby, you arent going to be successful the first time trying to stop."

Silence.

"Will mommy be mad?"

"No, baby."

"Daddy... I dont know if i want to live right now."

I dont know how to reply to this. It feels like when Sierra said this a few months ago.

"Well, what's can i do to help you? You know I'd do anything for you, sweetie." I say, kneeling in front of her.

She won't look me in my eyes. She just stares off, and shrugs with tears rolling down her face.

"What happened to your list, baby? The one so you didn't have to cut?"

"It's in your room."

"Why didn't you come ask for it? You know we would go over it with you."

She shrugs.

Silence.

I pick her up, and bring her to my room.

Angie is in bed, on her computer. Probably catching up on some work.

"Hey babe...whats wrong with Avery?"

"I cut myself." Avery whispers.

"Oh baby, come here." Angie says, closing her computer, and holding out her arms for Avery.

Avery stayed in her arms for a few moments, and just cried.

"Im sorry, mama."

"Baby, im not mad. It's okay."

"i'll stop, mommy. i'm sorry."

"baby, it's okay. we can help you stop."

silence.

"why did you stop eating?"

"i'm not hungry."

"you know you still have to eat."

"i know."

silence, again.

"I want to be like Sisi. how come she got to not eat, but i can't?"

"baby, Sierra is sick. we didn't know that not eating would be this serious for her, but it is, she's learning how to eat again. we are not letting you fall into the same hole as your sister, even if you don't like it."

she just nods.
