Chapter 13

BIRDS WHISTLING amongst in the early morning, sky was tinted with different shades such as blue, white, and orange. Walking, I tilted my head as momentous flickered throughout my consciousness. It was so blurry.

“Lace, you okay?” I heard Aoi’s worried voice, making me open my eyes. I smiled a little to sent her I’m doing alright.

I winced upon my head ached. Out of my mind, I firmly gripped someone’s arm who is beside me.

“Hey...” an angelic voice made me lift my head. It was Tyron. “Do you want me to carry you?” he said, chuckling. I stick out my tongue before opening my arms.

He then ascended me using his broad back. Slowly, my feeling refreshed kaya napabuntong hininga ako. What was that?

They stopped from walking kaya napatingin ako sa harap namin. It was a tall gate and students with their uniform, either walking, with their bikes or with their services are passing by the big black gate.

“Welcome to North High,” Ryo said. “I heard they hold a School Press Conference. Maybe outsiders are welcome?” natatawa nitong tanong na ikinaismid ni Aoi.

Really, these people have something. Tss!

“This place is familiar...” So, he felt the same way too?

“You noticed that too?” I whispered, not want to anyone to hear what we’re talking.

“Yeah. I think I’d go here sometimes. Ah! I don’t know. I meant, I never go here? Look, house, old man, hotels and sexy ladies lang ang punta ko. So tell me, what will I do here sa isang high school institution?!” he frustratingly asked. I laughed a little upon some shits entered my mind.

“Maybe you’re seeing someone here. Someone younger than you. Gosh! You’re—” he didn’t let me finish my words.

“Yikes! Adolescents are not my type! You are narrating craps!” he defended kaya napalakas ang tawa ko, making the three in front of us look to the both us confused.

I just peace sign at them. Sorry, this creature of mine is being defensive.

“You said you went here. And you also said that how come will you go here eh puro bahay and other shits ka lang naman pumupunta? So ibig sabihin, you’re stalking someone here pero you don’t want to tell me! Ah, it’s perhaps an instructor here is your type?” because I was in his back, I can’t saw how horrible his face expression is.

“Ladies in bars are my type, mind you!” his voice is still irritated, ayaw tanggapin ang mga sinasabi ko.

“Sus.” I pinched his waist kaya inis itong pumapadyak-padyak kaya lalo akong natawa. Gosh, this man is adorable!

“Are you a dog?” I blurted out of the blue kaya napatigil ito sa paglalakad.

“Pardon, my lady, but are you blind that you can’t see how handsome I am?” he rebutted, making me furrow my eyebrow.

“It should be why. Ang dami-dami mong sinasabi!” singhal ko rito pero kahit labag sa loob nito, tinake 2 ko.

“Are you a dog?” I asked him again at nakasimangot itong sumagot ng bakit.

“Because you are so asorable,” then I laughed so hard.
