Chapter 26
WALKING BACK and forth give me headaches. I wasn’t the one who is walking back and forth but Ryo is. He is now a problematic dude.
His phone keep ringing, insisting Ryo to answer the call. Ugh, why don’t he just answer the call and everything’s settled?
“Just answer the phone, Marquez. You pacing back and forth would do nothing but a headache,” Red said in a warning tone.
“I agree,” I returned. “So we do.” Then Tyron flipped a page from the book he is holding while sitting boldy in the sofa.
The latter sighed in defeat and doubting to take his phone in the table. He slowly draw closer his hand to his phone but when he was about to reach the noisy gadget, he immediately departed his right hand.
“My gosh.” I mumbled, rolling my eyes as I stood up.
“What’s with this?” I asked and lift his phone when I got near the table. I sway his phone using my left palm. “Annoying people wanting me to come to decrypt our late uncle hidden testament daw. She’s been bugging me since twenty and now, she ceaselessly calling me,” he replied and emphasized the word daw.
She?
“And why don’t you accept it then?” Tyron butted in and fix his mannerless behavior.
“They are annoying,” Ryo responded and paused from walking a bit and faced us. “Besides, I don’t want to dare to have a share in whatever that document or whatever it is. I’m contented with this,”
“Alongside with that, the reason for this occurrence is to use me as a toy to hold the treasure our beloved uncle Daniel’s hides. How pathetic, desperate and shameless this people would be? First, they hate me, especially my mom because she was an illegitimate daughter from grandfather’s mistress. Tss. Second, they abandoned us and even threatened us that if we were be stubborn, they will make our lives a living hell and now that we decided to cut ties with them, they are approaching me? How many blocks are in their faces and it is so damn thick?!” Ryo replied hotly, making Tyron scoff.
“Easy there, Marquez,” Red calmed the guy but the latter just crossed his hand. “Why don’t you give it a try?” Aoi blurted out of nowhere, making the four of us look at her.
“After all, you’re the victim here. You don’t need to be shy in attending such. Like, show them what they have abandoned.” She continued and tilted her head a bit.
“I doubt it. I know there really was a treasure with uncle’s things and uncle being single, no wife and kids, who would inherit such? Sila syempre. I’m out of it,” he snapped and sigh deeply before taking his phone and put it in an airplane mode. Tss!
“And what if you have?” Aoi retorted, making the latter froze.
“I said, my mom is an illegitimate child. Who would give me or my mom a gift from such greedy family? No one. And again, although uncle Daniel inherited all the wealth of my late grandfather, it doesn’t matter. They are the family and we are the unwelcomed members,” Ryo replied.
“You suck, dude,” Tyron commented and frowned.
I noticed the cup in the center and I asked whose coffee is that and Ryo answered it was his.
“We have been busy with daintea when we reached home after a month of staying in Red’s place. So how about another thrill again? Let’s just try, okay? Besides, kasama mo naman kami, kapag inapi ka ro’n, aapihin din namin,” then Aoi flushed her smile where all her teeth are shown.
“So you guys really wanted to come?” Ryo inquired and soughed. “Yeah?” Aoi replied, not sure about what she was trying to say and afterwards, she nudge Tyron so the guy doesn’t have the chance to speak what he wanted and just nodded as a response.
