Chapter 24

THE EUPHORIA that was once showcase how serendipitous herself is like a glowing pretty blossoms—the purest form of the beautiful spring is now a cold-blooded lonely nights.

Looking at the window for the whole damn time is boring, but not for Lacey. Someone knocked already yet she is still in her thoughts; making a whirlpool.

Absent-mindedly, Lacey stood up and goes to the cabinet, packing her things. Upon finished packing, she opened the door and straight passed by the people who are looking at her dumbfounded.

Her eyes didn’t even bother to look at them; it were just straight and... dull.

Tyron on the other hand is fidgeting, uneasiness is shown by nervous movements. Upon having the courage to call her beloved, Lacey stop.

She is like a robot especially on how she rotate her body. Indeed, life can’t be seen to her eyes; the melancholic melody doesn’t leave the ray amongst darkness. It was surreal, indeed a melancholy no matter how it passed by a stardust.

Now, the she’s like a ray of starlight amongst the dark dimensions is now a woeful luminosity. How saddening how people might push her away because of the vibe she is sending them, but the four, her family, will not, they thought.

“Where are you going?” Red asked and tried to step forward to reach Lacey but the lady didn’t even look to him and move. Her gaze is even passing the blocks of the house.

“Lacey,” he called with his authoritative parenting voice but then again, the lady she is calling is missing in action even though she is just in front of him.

“Cey...” that utterance who is voiced out by Ryo made Lacey loose her grip to her bags, thanks to Tyron’s flexibility, who is secretly walking to be closed to the lady was successful kicked the bags.

“Again, where are you going?” now, it’s Tyron era to ask her, the three are just listening carefully with their hands crossed to their chests.

Bewildered, Lacey’s gaze went to her scattered luggages and upon sighting the items, her forehead creased, making Tyron faced palm.

Where exactly am I going? She asked herself, dazed about her sudden movements. She did not even know she already packed her things and leave her room.

The three looked at him suspiciously as they see how Tyron faced palm. Afterwards, the dude accompany Lacey and the three make way to the guy and lady to sit to the sofa.

One thing is sure, they don’t know what is happening but they are worried to their friend. After all, they’ve built strong heaven-sent remembrance.

“What is happening?” Aoi whispered and hurriedly proceeded to the sofa where Lacey and Tyron are located, so did the other dudes.

Tyron is feeling the same way too, he wants to be dense just this day. He wants to rest just for a day and leave everything behind. But to no avail, he can’t just do that. He has still some responsibility to assist someone.

He need to be strong for his witch because if he did the what Lacey is now, nothing won’t happen because even though they are five, the back they have is just each other, nothing more, nothing less. Just the two of them.

It’s just sad to see two childhood memories wondering and trapped to the dimension where they shouldn’t be. The rhythm of their heartbeats become their lullaby since kids... since... she died.

“What day is today?” Tyron asked out of the blue. It wasn’t intended neither, he knows what date it today but he just can’t help but to blurt those things out. He needs confirmation although he check all his gadgets to confirm the date today.
