After a not so good meal, I read Charlie a story and go to bed. For some reason I find it hard to fall asleep. That little boy, the one with the pointed ears keeps coming into my mind. I try to erase it from my brain but it keeps coming back. Now thinking about it I think back to the other day in the toy shop when I was getting Charlie's present. There was a little girl at the window. She had pointed ears too. They must be in the same Christmas play. After the thought rotates in my mind over and over and over and over and over and over again I finally fall asleep.

'Noel! Noel! Noel! Wake up!' I get awoken but Charlie shaking me and shouting in my ear. 'Go away Charlie. It's too early for presents.' I roll over so I'm not facing him. 'Noel! It's important! Santa's on the roof!" I open my eyes and get up to look at him. I feel the cold air swoosh in from the window. 'Charlie, go back to sleep.' I tell him. 'Noel, I heard a clatter and Dad went out to have a look.' Upon saying this we hear a thud come from upstairs. 'It sounds like someone's falling' We hear a crash come from outside. I look over to a worried Charlie. 'What if that was Dad?' He asks looking scared. I quickly jump up and put my boots on. 'Charlie get your coat and shoes on for me.' He runs out my room and heads downstairs for his coat.
I grab my coat and run downstairs after him. I wait for Charlie to tie his shoe and we run out the open door. 'Woah' I say stopping him from running further out the door. We stand on the step noticing a half naked Scott standing over a body, a man dressed a Santa?
'You got him!' Charlie shouts, running down the slippery steps and over to Scott. 'Charlie, stay where you are!' Scott shouts but he doesn't listen. I follow Charlie and run over to Scott to take a closer look at what has happened. 'Guys stay up there!' Scott tells us but we ignore him. 'It is Santa!' Charlie smiles at the man in red. His smile then disappears when he realises what has happened. 'You killed him.' He cries. 'Did not.' Scott says while looking at Charlie then back to the not so jolly saint Nick. We stand and stare for a few moments hoping he will move.
'He's got some ID on him, I bet.' Scott says while kneeling down next to the man. 'Fella, if you can hear me, I'm just looking for you're identification.' He continues to search the mans pockets. 'Should we call someone?' I ask looking around to see if anyone else in the neighbourhood is out. 'No there's got to be something here.' Scott replies pulling a card from one of the pockets. 'Once I figure out who you are, I'll give you a lift back to the mall.'
The card Scott pulled out from the big man's pocket was decorated with the words 'Santa Clause, North Pole' on it. It also has small red writing along the edge but the print's too small for me too see what it says.
Scott flipped it over to see writing on the other side. ''If something should happen to me, put on my suit. The reindeer will know what to do.' Yeah right' Scott huffs. At that moment we hear bells coming from the roof. 'Are those...' 'Sleigh bells!' Charlie cuts me off before I can finish.
