We start to decent onto a mountains of ice. Is this where the dream ends? Am I waking up or am I continuing with this reality?

We land softly onto the many layers of ice and snow. I look around at the unusual location. This doesn't look like home? But I feel... at home?
The reindeer stare out into the cold morning sun rattling their heads and bells. I look to Scott and Charlie who have very different expressions. Charlie smiles at the open land watching as the snowflakes fall. Scott on the other hand stares in confusion with a slight glimpse of terror in his eyes. I look towards the reindeer hoping they'll take us home.

Before we know the reindeer detach from the sleigh and run into the wind. 'No, no, no, no,no!' Scott shouts watching as they dance away in the snow. 'Hey, hey, hey! Where you going?' He shouts after them. I watch with slight fear raising in my stomach. 'Come back here!' He calls, but they just run and disappear behind the mounts of snow. I look at Charlie who keeps giggling as he looks around. Scott sits there in terror, hoping that he can get home. Some how!

'What do we do know?' I ask trying to find a glimpse of someone in the distance. 'Look!' Charlie shouts watching as a young boy, dressed in black with a star on his hat, appears from behind the snow. 'Hey, hey!' Scott and I shout trying to get his attention. 'Hey buddy!' I shout hoping he can hear us. He looks up and smile at us. 'Can you hear me?!' Scott shouts waving his arms in-front of him. A long red and white, candy caned pole starts to raise from the snowy ground. It has a silver ball on the top. The young boy walks over to it when it stops rising. 'What's that?' Scott asks leaning over the front of the sleigh. 'I don't know.' Charlie says watching as the young boy reaches the pole. 'I think it's the North Pole.' Charlie suggests. Scott and I look at each other with confused faces. 'That's the North Pole!?' Scott asks while turning back to the boy.

As he touches the pole a little pad pops out. I look carefully at what he's doing but it's hard to focus. 'Hey buddy, what are you doing?' Scott shouts as the pad disappears back into the pole. The ground starts to shake so I put my arm over Charlie like a belt making sure he feels safe. The young boy smiles and walks off leaving us fearful and confused. Before we can think we are lowered into the ground.

'What's going on?' I ask Scott looking up above us as the ground, now above us, closes. We look down and around at the new setting. It's like a stable, high walls, beautifully decorated pillars and little areas with the names Dasher, Prancer, Cupid. Those were the reindeer! Wait are we? No! It's not real, the North Pole isn't real! I try to convince myself. My inner child smiles through my cold face as I look down to see more... children?

As our journey comes to a haunt we look around clueless but exited. 'Where are all the grow ups?' Scott asks looking around at the young children, some in wagons, some in the pens, some even staring happily. Wait! They... they look different like they're actually... elves!

'This is so cool.' Charlie chimes eager to get out of his seat. I chuckle at the disbelief my brain is telling me but mainly at the over joy Charlie's giving off.

'You two stay here. Noel, look after him.' Scott tells us before exiting the sleigh. I look up at him confused, 'what?' I ask. Before I know he's running off after some girl with a plate of reindeer treats. Charlie goes to stand up but I pull him back down. 'Stay here!' I say pulling him into his seat. 'Why?' He cries hoping I'll let him go. 'Your dad said to stay here. Beside we don't know where we are.' I try to explain to the over exited Charlie. 'Isn't it obvious.' Charlie says his smile growing too big for his small face. I look at him still in disbelief yet wishing this is true. 'We're in the North Pole!' Charlie cheers as some of the small children walk over to us.
