Bernard and Noel stand before the elves in the workshop, tears slowly forming in Noel’s eyes as she holds his hand tightly. Scott and Carol enter, also hand in hand, shortly followed by Curtis. The two couples share a heartwarming farewell, with Scott smiling as he pulls Noel into a deep, Santa hug, spreading love and joy around her body.. 'Remember, it's not just the gifts that make Christmas special, it's the love and kindness in our hearts,' he says with a jolly smile as he pulls back. Noel snuffles as she wipes a tear from her glittering cheek. Bernard couldn't help but feel a little jealous of the special bond between Noel and Scott. But he knew how important Scott was to her, and he couldn't help but feel grateful for all that he had done for them.

‘You’re only going for a year, kid’ Scott chuckles as he shakes hands firmly with Bernard. ‘Take care of her.’

‘I will, sir.’ Bernard nods, moving back to allow Noel to say a final goodbye. The elves gather around the pair to bid them farewell, Curtis pushing past as he puffs his chest out in an attempt to not look upset. ‘All looks good, boss.’

‘Boss?’ Bernard chuckles, ‘Since when did you use formal terms?’

‘All the time.’ Curtis chuffs, shaking the Head Elf’s hand.

Scott and Carol join beside them, giving their final hugs. ‘Let me know when this little one makes an appearance.’ Noel chuckles, nodding down to Carol’s growing baby belly. ‘Believe me I will.’ Carol chuckles, bracing Scott’s arm. ‘I’m going to need you around, Noel.’  As they hugged each other tightly, Bernard places his hand on Noel’s lower back guiding her to the forming, purple portal behind them. ‘It’s time, Snowflake.’

‘We’ll see you soon.’ Curtis salutes, making the pair chuckle.

‘You keep us updated.’ Scott waves, Noel returning a nod back to him. ‘We will.’

Bernard couldn't help but feel slightly worried about leaving Curtis in charge. Noel could see this worry in his eyes, squeezing his hand slightly in a supporting embrace. She knew that they were embarking on a new adventure, spreading love and joy everywhere they go. He knows this too with Noel by his side, there was nothing they couldn't accomplish.

Picking up their bags swiftly, the pair leave, the portal consuming them instantly. The pair were transported back to the Miller family home, to see Charlie and the family. The air crisp and the sun shining down on them, making it a beautiful day. Walking up to the front door, decorated with a fall leaf wreath, Noel smiles as she magic makes their bags disappear.

‘Now where did you learn to do that?’ Bernard asks, turning to her, reaching for her free hand.

‘Oh, a certain someone helped me.’ Noel chuckles, interlocking their fingers. Bernard pulls Noel in for a delicate kiss, their noses brushing slightly. ‘A certain someone?’ He queries, pulling slightly at her bottom lip. ‘Not messing about behind my back now, are we?’

‘Never.’ Noel shakes her head, taking in a deep breath before turning toward the Miller’s door, knocking it politely.

The door swings open, revealing an older Charlie, towering over the pair. ‘Noel!’ He exclaims, pulling her into his chest. ‘Woah, Sport. You’re huge.’

He pulls away, a wide grin on his face before turning to Bernard. ‘You’re not.’ He jokes, fistbumping Bernard, their new greeting. ‘Hush. You can’t talk to elders that way.’ Bernard joins in the joke, resulting in a slap on the arm from Noel. ‘I’m kidding, I’m kidding.’

Charlie moves to the side, allowing the couple into the house. ‘Mum’s inside.’ Noel smiles as she walks past, following him through the long corridor. ‘How’s work?’
