Clark and I came down stairs. Mom and Dad were working out the bills and stuff. so much so that they didn't notice that the two of us were there.
"The distributor is 12.5." Mom muttered
"Feed bill over 6 months at 5%" Dad added.
"Plus the mirage at 8.2. Plus the harvester repairs gives us..."
"54,501 dollars and 38 cents." I answered heading into the kitchen and grabbing a pop tart and sticking it in the toasters.
"Hey, you two. Sorry. We didn't mean for you to hear all that." Dad poured himself another cup of coffee. Clark followed me resting his jacket and his back on the chair.
"You don't have to protect us. Is it that bad?" Clark asked
"Yeah it's pretty bad, we might have to take out a bank loan." Mom admitted
"What happened to the small portion of my earning that I've been giving you, is that at least making a dent." mom and Dad looked at each other "What?"
"We don't want your money Mia. That money is for your future and your college." Dad sighed
"No but we agreed, I wanted to help out." I protested "You can't take out another loan. The interest would put us..."
"Mia don't" Mom shut me down
"Maybe I can help." Clark offered
"You already have, the two of you saved us four hands, last season." Dad replied having some of his coffee.
"I'm thinking bigger picture. You know forget about this whole high school thing and try out for a pro sports team." Our pop tarts popped up "I could make a tone of money in endorsements." I shook my head in amusement.
"Just trying to lighten the mood." Clark added when he saw the look on our parents face.
"Much as we'd love to see your face on a coral box, we'd settled for the two of you getting to school on time." I grabbed my things and sped off.
"Mia, your pop tart." he handed me mine, oh I forgot. Oops
"Thanks" We met up with Chloe and Pete and walked to the bus stop.
"So did Sean call?" Clark asked our friend. Why would he bring that up, he was ticked off when we got home that Sean dared to even trying to ask me out.
"No. Not that I was waiting by the phone or anything? Its a shame i really wanted that quote." She answered "I still can't believe you gave him my number." she shook her head.
"I can. Mia Kent is a Ice Queen." Pete joked
"I am not!" I protest
"Yes you are, if you had any superpowers it would be something to do with ice because you freeze nearly everyone out unless they meet certain criteria. They're friends with Clark, they're a teacher or Whitney Fordman." Pete held up three fingers.
"I am not a ice queen!" I storm off ahead of them, my feelings hurt. Okay so maybe i wasn't as social as Clark but that was totally out of self preservation. The bus came to a stop and i got on sitting towards the back of the bus.

That afternoon, I had lunch and sat outside under a tree reading. I was in my own little world with my book and that suited me fine. I was in my happy place till I heard a familiar voice.
"Mia!" Petes voice broke my out of it and I glanced up seeing him head over here with Chloe and Clark. I rolled my eyes, my fun was over. Getting up I grabbed my bag and coat and went to head side the school. "Come on, Mia!" Pete groaned and I glanced back seeing they were catching up to me. But I wasn't looking where I was going because i crashed into somebody else.
"Crap." I muttered seeing my things on the floor.I crouched down to pick them up.
"Mia." Oh fantastic. It was Sean "Don't I owe you a phone call?" he asked as I gathered my belongings
"No, you owe Chloe one. Now get lost!" I sneer and shove past him momentarily feeling a chill past through me. I shivered and made my way inside.
-3rd Person-
The next day Mia was still in a foul mood. While Clark was in the best of them, he had a none date with Lana. To go to a concert with tickets supplied by Lex. Martha was wanting her and Jonathan to go to see the later about Lex's offer to invest in the farms.
"Hello, citizens." Clark beamed
"I'm not familiar with this child. Where's the moody one lives up stairs with his know it all sister?" Martha teased
"He's going on a date tonight." Clark answered for himself "Not a 'date' date, but to a concert."
"Who's this not a date, date with?" Jonathan wondered happy for his son and his chipper mood.
"Lana Lang" Clark chimes "Lex hooked me up with a serious couple of tickets and his limo. It's okay if I go right?"
"Oh he did." Jonathan hummed glancing at his wife "Well, I guess Lex Luthor has worked out all of our evenings for us. Where's your sister?"
"She still brooding in the loft." Clark sighed
"What happened, she hasn't talked since yesterday. I'm getting worried." Martha folded her arms in concern.
"Pete made a joke about her being a Ice Queen." He told them
"That doesn't sound like Pete." Jonathan replied
"He was just messing around. One of the other football players tried to hit on Mia, at the party, asking for her number. She gave Chloe's instead hoping he would take the hint. He kind of did but that lead to Pete making the joke and now Mia's not happy. I've tried talking to her buts she's even blocking me out." he explained then went to head upstairs
"I'll go, talk to her."
"Clark isn't Lana, still going out with Whitney?" she questioned her son
"She's not married, mom." he smiled and carried on upstairs
