I was sat having breakfast the next morning, when Clark finally came down, dressed and ready to leave.
"Where's Dad?" he asked Mom
"He wanted to get an early start, said he had a lot of work to do today." Mom replied coming over to my side
"He's avoiding me isn't he?" he figured and I dropped my spoon
"Congratulations you figure it out like, lightning fast. I would have thought it would have taken you at least ten minutes." I joked deadpan.
"Mia, don't tease your brother. Clark, I'm not gonna play referee. You two need to work this out." Mom started folding the laundry as Clark got himself a glass
"we will. first we'll have a week of uncomfertable silence then we'll start talking about something either trivial or about Mia. And then we'll move on." he replayed what usually happens
"Avoiding it and hoping the problem goes away isn't dealing with it." mom replied
"What can i do. You know how stubborn he is."
"I know how stubborn you both can be. I don't want to see you two drift apart like he did with his father." Mom stopped what she was doing, as did i a little confused
"I thought they were close." I voiced
"They were, but they kept things from each other. When your grandfather passed away there was a lot your Dad didn't get to tell him, a lot of he regrets. I just don't want to see history repeating itself ."

Clark and I went back to school and Mom and Dad had a meeting with principal Kwan. Which then lead to Whitney and I being dragged in against our will for a 20 minute uncomfortable conversation. that then lead to Chloe and Pete questioning why Whitney and I were pulled out of class and us telling them what was going on.
"Mia! I need your medical opinion." Chloe came as i was laying on the stands by the football field. She lifted my feet up and rested them on her lap.
"You do know I'm not actually a doctor."
"Semantics. Is it medically plausible to self combust?" she questioned and I moved to rest on my arms
"What?"
"Mrs Sikes the old lady you and Clark sometimes visit when you do food deliveries, died last night, all that was left of her was dust." she explained
"That's impossible. Theres not enough science to prove that, the variables alone don't support it. Mrs Sikes was bed ridden, even if that would happen, the whole place would have gone up as well and the bloody dog of hers would have barked till its last breath for help." I answered "You need a new theory."
"Well if I got you a sample of what I find, think you can give me a new one?" she hoped and I raised an eyebrow "Oh, come on I know your actively avoiding the subject you being preggo. Call it my gift to you. A puzzle to solve."
"Fine. Bring it to the loft." She grins and moves my legs so she can get up.Then she lowers them back down.
"You're amazing. Bye."

"Mia! A little help!" Dad yelled from downstairs and i headed down just to see Mom and Clark stumbling in looking worse for wear. "Get your kit." I need and sped back upstairs and grabbed my kit before speeding back down
"What happened?" I question pulling out my stethoscope
"Tyler, the new driver, he's the one that killed Miss Sikes, when he touches something with his bare hands it turns to ash. Hank tried to stop him but got caught out when he grabbed onto Tyler." Mom explained "He almost killed your brother as well, but Clark fought him off."
