Chapter Fifty One - Third Fallen

-3rd Person-

Mia skipped the rest of school and the next time anyone saw her, was when she came speeding through the streets of town. In the time she's left school with Clark, she had been home, to the crash sight and then back home. Now she was different from whence she came. Formal in a simple jeans, t-shirt and sneakers. She was now in tight black jeans and cropped black top with a leather jacket and heeled boots. She screeched to a stop and removed her helmet and shook out her hair. Now she also had make up on with sultry definition.

Classmates who were hanging out after school stopped and stared at her as she swung herself off and sassily walked into the Fordmans's store. Her hips simmering from side to side as she made her way up to her boyfriend. Whitney heard the wolf whistles and turned around to see his girlfriend slowly coming to a stop.

"Whoa." he muttered as he was met with a deep kiss from his new girlfriend. It had quickly come to Whitneys attention towards the end of his relationship with Lana, that he didn't feel the same way any more. Those feelings shifted to Mia not only shifted but were more intense. he took things slow with Lana and intended to do the same with Mia. Yet when he kissed Mia, it felt what he imagined to be an addiction. It was just over a month but things moved fast. Most saw this as they 'honeymoon phase' of their relationship and didn't really think much of it.

When Mia pulled away leaving Whitney a little dazed for a moment, not sure of what was going on with his girlfriend.

"Hey, sexy." she smirked and he blinked coming back to a sort of reality "Ready to get out of here?" she bit her lip and he cleared his throat glancing at the clock. It was the end of his shift. He nodded and she pulled him out by the t-shirt.

"not that I'm into this, but what's the occasion?"

"No occasion." she slipped onto her bike and handing him a helmet. He took it and put it on.

"Mia, where have you been? You didn't come back to school?" Clark saw his sister and jogged over to her.

"Why would I? I know everything already, it's a waste of time. I have better things and people to be doing." she smirked as Whitney got on the back of the bike. Clark raised his eyebrow confused by his sister

"Let's go, player." she sped off without a helmet and headed back for Whitney's where she proceeded to pounce on him.

After Mia had left Clark it was within minutes that his Dad came speeding down the road, driving recklessly and heading for the bank in a rage. Clark sped to stop his dad asking what was wrong, he found Jonathan with a shotgun ready to do some damage. When Clark tried to disarm his Dad, Jonathan shot him but due to his abilities it didn't do anything but damage his shirt. Jonathan in a state of shock almost hurting his son. Dropped to the ground. He was taken to the hospital.

"Have you heard anything from, your sister?" Martha asked Clark

"no, I've tried calling her but she's not picking up. She was acting weird earlier and something didn't seem right." Clark answered

"What do you mean?"

"Well, she didn't come back to school for the rest of the day. Then before what happened with dad i saw her with Whitney leaving the store. She seemed to care less that she missed school, she dressed and acted differently. like a weird different, not having a boyfriend different i've gotten used to that bit." he shook his head

Meanwhile at the Fordmans, Mia slipped into one of Whitney's shirts and smirked at her boyfriend, who was pleasantly confused.

"I'm getting water, want anything?"

"Err, i can't think right now." Mia giggled and jogged downstairs. Whitney got out of bed and pulled on some pants when he heard a glass shatter. He ran downstairs and into the kitchen where he saw Mia having a seizure. "Mia!" He winched stepping on a piece of glass

"Ah, shit." he hoped about the reached for the house phone and called 911 "I need a ambulance, my girlfriend...she's having a seizure." he stared at the young girl who fit did not let up for a while.

While one EMT sorted out Mia the other took the shard of glass out and bandage his foot up. Then on their way out people had gathers seeing who it was. Two of them were Chloe and Lana.

"Whitney! Is everything okay? Is it your Dad?" Lana questioned as he hobbled out

"No, it's Mia." the watched as she was brought out on a gurney "We were...hanging out and she went to get water. I heard the glass smash and when I got to her she was fitting. I've gotta go with her, can you get ahold of Clark?"

"He's at the hospital already. Their Dad collapsed earlier. But I'll let him know you're coming." Whitney nodded and got in the back of the ambulance. Chloe called Mrs Kent, but got voicemail.

"Mrs Kent is Chloe. I know things are bad right now but it's Mia. She's heading your way in a ambulance there's been a incident. She's with Whitney and he should be able to explain better." she hung up and turned to Lana. "Two's a coincidence three is a pattern. let's go." She and Lana left and drove to where that mornings accident happened.

"Okay, so what are we doing here?" Lana questioned

"Well from what i could see of Mia, she looks like she has the same symptoms of Mr Kent and Mr Beels. This is the only place all three here have in common. Mia came out here this afternoon and now she's in hospital, it's no longer a coincidence. I'm assuming whatever happened to Mr Kent and Mia was caused by something here." Chloe explained taking out a torch and shining it around. The two look around and split up for a few minutes, which was enough time for Lana to fall as the next victim to the spores

At the hospital. Mia was rushed in after she had another seizure in the ambulance. Mrs Kent and Clark were waiting for her to arrive and they saw Whitney being rolled in on a wheelchair by a nurse.

"Whitney what happened?" Martha questioned

"I don't know. She was fine when we left the store and then a couple of hours later she's seizing on my kitchen floor. She had another one on our way here." Whitney told them in a little bit of a panic.

"What about you?" Clark asked d

"Stepped on a broken piece of glass. Mia was getting water when she had her first seizure." Martha was called away and then Whitney was taken his foot to get a check out. Eventually Mia was moved to a room.
