3 - the panic attack

Once i am out of his office, i thank Leah for letting me stay with her as i already fell very comfortable around her. By the time the meeting was over, all the rest of the team had finished training and had headed home so Leah decided to drive me back to her house so i could get all my stuff sorted out. It took about 10 minutes to drive to he place, talking, laughing, singing, and when we got there, it looked amazing from the outside.

We sit in the car together, waiting to go in, when i go silent. She looks at me, as i have not once been silent with her, and sees that i am struggling to breathe and have gone bright red.

"Hey, you alright Jess?" I hear.
I shake my head "L-Leah, I-I th-ink im havin-g a p-panic at-tack."
Leah worries about what to do to sort me out. She starts to fiddle around trying to find something to calm me down.
"Wh-what do i do? Has this happened before?"
Without thinking, she grabs my face with both her hands and kisses me. She hold onto me for a few seconds before letting go. I feel perfectly fine, but am still a bit red in the face.
"You kissed me," i state quietly.
"Yeah, yeah i did," she replies slowly, thinking about what she has just done.
I blush.
"I-I read somewhere, that if you hold your breath. It stops a panic attack," she looks into my eyes "a-and when i kissed you, you held your breath."
I smile "yeah, i did," tears start to form a layer in my eyes so i add "thank you Leah. I dont know what would've happened if you didn't do that."
I hug her tight. I hold onto her as if there was no tomorrow. She hugs me back and i bury my face into her neck.

Once we get inside Beth was waiting for Leah inside on the sofa watching TV. Beth didn't look back but instinctively says hi to Leah.
I say "surprise" and Beth instantly turns her head around to see me standing by the door with my bag.
I tell her "I'm moving in! I signed for Arsenal and Jonas put me in your house because you have a spare room and i already know Leah and get on well with her."
Beth says "omg, hi Jess!"
She welcomes me in and rushes over to me, giving me a big bear hug. She is pulled away from the hug by Leah so she can show me up to my new room. Leah takes my bag up for me to help. She shows me her room and tells me to knock if i ever need anything because she will always be there for me. She shows me to my room and places my bag on the bed for me unpack into the drawers. She leaves me in there to unpack but just before she leaves i tell her that i will be down shortly to help with dinner.

As soon as she sees Beth, she bursts out into tears. "Beth, Beth i think i messed up."
Beth hugs her and asks "why do you think you've messed up? Don't you tell me you've messed it up with the new girl already."
Leah nods and starts to explain "well, i was bringing Jess home from meeting with Jonas, and when we got to the house she started to have a panic attack. Um- i didn't know what to do but i remembered if you held your breath it stops the attack and i didn't think properly."
Beth replies concerned "what did you do Leah?"

Leah continues "Beth. I kissed her. I didn't know how else to get her to hold her breath so i just kissed her. She hasn't even been here half a day and I've already gone and kissed her."
Beth smiles "Leah, its ok. I thought you said she was cute."
Leah frowns "yeah, she is cute Beth. Have you seen her eyes? But what if she dosen't like me like that? Crap, what if she dosen't like girls? Shit, I've really messed up if she dosen't like girls, and she wont even like me."
Beth replies "well, why don't you speak to her about it? About the kiss? Tell her how you feel? She might feel the same way."
Leah replies "yeah you might be right. You always know what to say in these situations. I'll tell her later but i think I've really fucked it up this time. I do really like her though Beth."

I finish unpacking so i go downstairs to go and help set up for dinner but as i get to the table it is already set up and dinner is on the table. I see Leah and Beth have saved me a place in the middle of them both. Leah pats the chair for me to sit in-between them like i didn't have a choice. There wasn't any other chairs to sit on anyway, seems someone has moved them since i last saw them.

A/N: 3rd chapter done, sorry for taking so long to upload, its been a busy week and i had to deal with some family issues so writing this story has been the last thing to do on my mind at the moment. Sorry, i will be posting another tonight though to make up for it.
