18 - "crazy drunk"

I run out shouting to Beth and when I get to her I hug her "Beth! I did it!" I quieten my voice "I told Leah how I felt, and I told my mum that I was gay. Thank you Beth."
She responds while laughing "well done! I told you you could do it. I'm so proud of you."

I sit on my chair with my drink in my hand and a small smile on my face, thinking of a song for karaoke. Leah walks out the bathroom still a little bit flustered from the kiss and walks over to us.

She asks me "have you got a song yet?" whilst scrunching up my hair.
I sort out my hair a reply "yeah, can we do-" before I can tell Leah the song.
I am interrupted by Beth "OMG you lovebirds should do the start of something new!"
I look at Beth then up at Leah to say "alright then, lets do it."

We go up onto the stage so we can start the song whilst the team cheers us on. I smile and start singing my heart out, looking at Leah and blushing when I notice she is looking at me too. I see Beth in the crowd, singing along to us in her drunken ways. As we finish up the sing I grab Leah's hand to pull her off the stage so we can go back to our table.

Leah, however, sits on MY chair before me so I stand in-front of her with my arms crossed and an unimpressed look on my face.

She pats her lap, gesturing me to sit on it, saying "come on, sit."
I roll my eyes at her but go and sit on her lap anyway and say "fine, but im not happy that you stole my chair."

She chuckles to herself at me. I grab my drink and start to drink it, looking away from Leah because I'm still mad at her.

Beth gets up to buy herself another drink so I ask her "Beth could you buy me a drink please?"
She replies "sure I'll get you what im having." I nod at her and she walks over to the bar.

I look at Leah who is looking down at her feet as everyone else is talking with someone else.

I say "Le," and she immediately looks up at me so I continue "I'm sorry for being angry at you. I wasn't really, I think I just got a bit overwhelmed and for some reason, I felt sad that you stole my chair." I laugh at myself.
She smiles and says "I know my love, its ok. I still love you."
I hug her tightly "I love you, Le"

Beth comes back with six shots in her hand and hands three over to me. I thank her before hitting them back and placing the glasses on the table, not making a face.

Beth says "oh I see you two have made up again after 'Leah's stealing of your chair'," then she quietly adds, under her breath "and of your heart."
I chuckle and reply "yeah, I could never be mad at her. She's so sweet," then I add slightly louder than normal "and I love her with all of my whole entire big heart."
Leah laughs and says "ok love, lets get you back now. That's enough partying for one night."
I roll my eyes "but I was having fun"
She gets up and replies "I know you were... look its midnight and you've had a little too much to drink," she sighs "I guess I could carry you back if you wanted."
I clap my hands and say "ok fine. Bye guys. See you tomorrow."
I giggle as I jump on her back. I point forwards and shout "full steam ahead!" so she takes us to the hotel.
She shakes her head "my god, you really are a crazy drunk. What am I getting myself into?"
I snore in reply as I have fallen asleep so she adds with a laugh "yeah, I think I got my answer."

Leah takes me into our room and carefully places me on the bed so she can get my clothes out of my bag to sleep in. I suddenly wake up and see Leah walking over to me with my pyjamas in her hand.

As she reaches me she notices I am awake so she says "hey love, I was just about to wake you so you could get changed."
I reply "thank you Le."

I start to take of my dress in-front of her so she looks away and I ask "Le, what are you doing?"
She looks back at me "im looking away so I don't see you naked love."
She smiles, its so soft.
I reply "its fine Le, I don't mind."

She sits next to me staring at my body once the dress was off. I put on my trousers noticing Leah is staring at me so I take off my bra and grab my top. I look at Leah but she turns away with a bright red face.

She gets off the bed, grabbing her pyjamas and starts undressing opposite me. I shove my top on and sit on the bed, admiring Leah. She smiles at she as she finishes putting her clothes on and joins me in the bed. I get under the covers so I can snuggle up to her and be warm and toasty.

I whisper "goodnight Le," and I tuck my head into her shoulder.
She replies softly "goodnight my l-" but she is cut off by me loudly snoring her ears off.
She smiles and closes her eyes with her arms wrapped gently around me for protection.
