It's us against the world

4 - the confession

They have made chicken salad for tonight, which is one of my favourite meals ever. It is very tasty and i thank them both for making the food so delicious for me on my first night here and i will be setting my standards this high for the rest of time. They both laugh. Beth starts to ask me personal questions like where i am from and what my family is like and if they are supportive of me playing football. I answer her questions and then Leah starts asking me questions about me playing football. She asks how i got into football and how i an aged to make it so far, so quickly.

I tell her "i did it with determination and support, i didn't have football at my school until last year and that was made by me, so playing just with a club has made it a lot harder to practice as many other girls also play in school but for way longer than me."
I laugh gently, "i practiced every single day, after school and in most of my free time. I actually wouldn't have made it this far without you two and the team, watching you guys play because you guys are my role models and my idols and your guys determination gave me the strength to not quit when i felt i wasn't getting anywhere and told i wasn't good enough."
They look shocked "how does no one want you? Your great!"
I chuckle "thanks, im here now though. It was always my dream to sign here and my dream of signing for Arsenal made me who i am today and it how i made it because you can't get anywhere without a dream."
I smile at them and both their eyes have welled up with tears.

I then ask them questions about themselves, out of politeness, i already knew the answers to the questions i asked and they were answering them as if they were total strangers. When they have finished answering them, i tell them that they are much more friendly than i had expected them to be. Leah then tells me that she is very proud of me for coming all this way with her and not knowing what was happening all by trusting her. I give her a warm smile, of course i trust her, shes Leah Williamson, how can you say no to her? She also tells me that she is very happy i signed for Arsenal as she can spend more time with me and so she dosen't have to play against me as i would be a pain in the ass to defend against. I just tell them i can't believe i made it. I'm so happy.

After dinner is finished and cleared up, i suggest to them both about having a movie night tonight as it is my first night here and i would like to spend the moment with them. Beth automatically agrees to it and tells us we have no choice in what movie we are watching as she wants to watch The Conjuring. Leah and i share a small giggle.

I then look back at Beth and tell her "i have never watched that movie before,"
She just looks at me as if i am mad or joking but then realises i am being serious and says "thats even more reason to watch it then!"
I add "im not very good at horror films as they scare me, a lot, and i get so many nightmares from them.
Leah tells me "you can hold my hand when it gets to the scary bits so you will be less scared. I have been told i make people less scared."
She laughs, so i nod and run upstairs to put on my pair of comfy clothes before watching.

As i am getting changed, i hear a knock on the door so i tell them to come in. Leah comes in and sits on my bed as i put my top on.
I sit next to her and ask "what's up?" Something was clearly bothering her.
She smiles and replies "well, i was just wondering, you know about earlier. In the car. What happened? You can speak to me you know, im here for you."
I start to get a bit uneasy, i don't really like talking about my feelings, but answer her anyway "um- so i have panic attacks sometimes just because i get scared or something, and i think i just got a bit nervous to meet Beth because i didn't know if she would like me or not. You saw how i was when is saw you. It was so embarrassing. I'm sorry about that, you having to deal with a crying, stupid me."

I didn't want to mention the kiss to her, as i dont know if she wanted to remember it or if it was just me that wanted to talk to her about it.
She shuffles around on my bed and replies "yeah kind of. You dont need to apologise for reacting like that, by the way, it was cute and genuine. But i also wanted to talk to you about what happened afterwards. I'm sorry that happened, i just had no clue what to do or say and i was so scared for you. I-"
I cut her off, she was rambling "its okay Leah, there's really nothing to be sorry about. You helped me and i felt better instantly. To be honest with you, i kinda liked it too, i wouldn't mind doing it again."
I smile at her sweetly and walk to the door.
I add "race you downstairs?"
She gets up and replies "oh you're so on!"

I run down the stairs and is down on the sofa to watch the movie with them. I am sat right up close to Leah just in case and Beth is sat on the other side of Leah. Beth starts the movie and i snuggle up to Leah.
I whisper into her ear, just before the movie starts "I win," and I grin at her.
I see the hairs on her neck stick up and notice her breath hitch and she giggles quietly, "only because you cheated miss Walker."
"Oh last names are we now, Williamson?" I stick my tongue out at her
"Yeah, thats what you get when you CHEAT!" She smirks
"Calm down children! There's a movie on!" Beth half shouts at us, probably a tiny bit of annoyance lacing her voice.
"Yes, Beth. Sorry, Beth" Leah and I both apologise at the same time, turning our attention to the movie.

I'm thinking of updating once a day or every other day just because when i have to go back to school its going to be very hard balancing homework and this but i will try my hardest for you guys <3
