17 - just kareoke?

I walk up onto the stage with her hand in mine, grabbing a microphone each as the DJ puts on the music. I look at Leah and begin to sing the opening of the song, with passion. Leah joins in with me, staring deep into my eyes, smiling and singing with joy.

I point my finger at her and blast "Islands in the stream, that is what we are. No one in between, how can we be wrong? Sail away with me, to another world."
She wraps her arm around my shoulder and sings softly "and we'll reply on each other, ah-ha. Making love to each other , ah-ha. From one lover to another, ah-ha."
She winks at me so I close my eyes and continue "Islands in the stream, that is what we are. No one in between, how can we be wrong? Sail away with me, to another world."

We finish the song and by the end my voice had dropped to a whisper, but we are given an applause by the team and a few other people, which makes me smile to myself. I put the microphone back as Leah grabs me, so I jump on her back and she carries me off the stage, back to the table we were sitting at.

She dumps me onto my chair, kisses my cheek in front of the team, downs the rest of her beer and asks "do you want another drink love? I'm getting one for myself if you want one."
I look up at her and reply "yes please Le, I will pay you back later."

She walks off and up to the bar to order drinks for us. I chug the rest of my drink as all the team are gossiping between themselves about Leah and I "flirting" so I laugh to myself.

Beth says to me "careful with that, you don't want to get drunk now do you?"
I finish off my drink and turn to face Beth replying "are you sure about that? I don't think you know me very well Beth."

Leah walks back with a big smile spread across her face so I ask her, as she hands me my drink, "what's that smile for?"
She squeezes into my chair with me and answers, still smiling guiltily "nothing my love. Everything is absolutely fine."

She strokes my hair as I drink a bit of my beer, then placing it down and squeezing tighter into Leah – feeling her warmth wrap around me like a blanket. I get up from the chair and tell Leah that I am not going anywhere but I will just be in the toilet. I walk into a cubicle alone, sit on the toilet lid, then I get my phone out and go into my contacts to find my mum, so I can phone her. I ring her, and she answers on the third ring.

I say "hi mum," then she replies, over the phone
"hey, hows arsenal going?"
I answer her "yeah mum, its good. I miss you but I love being here, everyone is so kind to me an they treat me as if im one of their old teammates."

Leah enters the bathroom and goes into the cubicle next to me but I don't hear her.

I continue "look, I have to get something off my chest."
She seems worried in her reply "what's up?"
I take a big breath then say "so, I've been staying with Beth and, well, Leah." I pause. "They are the best housemates ever and I've got to tell you, I don't care what you think or say to me, I just want you to know the truth." I take another breath before continuing "erm- mum- I-I- I think im in love. I know you probably don't care about my love life and you don't want to hear about it but I like a girl. It's not just like, I think its love. I think I love Leah. She's just so perfect in every way and I want her to know. I just hope its ok me being gay though."
My mum replies in a relieved but cheerful way "of course that's ok. It's awesome. I thought that it was going to be something bad. Just make sure you tell her how you feel, she might end up feeling the same back to you."
I reply, smiling "ok I will. Thanks mum. Ive got to go now or they might think I've left them or disappeared."

I hang up the phone, put it in my pocket an walk out the stall to the sinks.

I hear sniffling coming from a locked door, so I knock on the door and ask "hey, are you alright."
The door unlocks and out comes Leah from inside. She has tears rolling down her face so I give her a huge hug and ask her what has happened.
She tells me as I wipe her tears away "its just- I heard what you said to your mum... you love me?"
I turn away from her and reply "well yeah. I don't know who wouldn't. Your perfect Le." I turn back to face her "you don't have to feel the same though, was probably just bei-" she cuts me off by kissing me gently.
"I love you too silly. I thought you already knew that. And yes, I am very perfect thank you."
I blush and reply "sorry Le-" she places her finger to my lips "hey, you don't have to be sorry for anything. It's my fault. I didn't make it clear enough for you."

Then she drags me into the cubicle she just came out of and she locks the door behind me.

She smirks "now I'll make sure you know how I really feel."

She places her hands on my waist as I wrap my arms around her neck. She leans closer into me so I start to kiss her gently but she turns it more passionate by pinning me against the wall and kissing me harder, making her way down to my neck and moving her hands all over my body. I move my hands lower and lower, reaching into her waistband. She moves me so I am sat on her lap facing her with my legs wrapping around her hips and her sitting on the toilet lid. She places her hand on my thigh, slowly moving it upwards, still kissing my neck. I bury my head into her neck and start to quietly moan into her ear as she continues to move her hand up higher. She slips her hand underneath the fabric of my pants but I place my hand on top of hers to stop her moving it any further. She stops kissing me to look into my eyes.

She gently tilts my head towards hers to meet her gaze, and through smiling she asks "are you alright my love?"
I nod "yes Le, im alright. I just don't want to do it here. Especially as it would be our first time together."
She softly smiles and chuckles whilst tucking my hair behind my ear "oh my love, you should've said something earlier. I was about to ask you if you wanted to do it later or we can make it special."
I hug her tight, "thank you Le. You really are perfect."
She replies grinning "anything for you my love."
I peck her on the lips before grabbing her hand and telling her "Le, the others will be wondering where we are. Come on, we need to go back to them and I really want to do some more karaoke. It was so much fun."
She unlocks the door for me "ok my love, go pick us a song and I will be out in a sec"
