50 - Cassandra

Leah POV:
As Jess walks upstairs to my room, I stay downstairs with my mum and dad.

"So." My mum begins, smiling as she does so.

"So what?" I question, waiting for my mum to finish what she was saying.

"Your girlfriend seems nice. She's funny too." My mum laughs. I knew she would like her, they both have the most annoying sense of humour. Equally liking to wind me up. I like it when Jess does it though, I do pretend to hate it but I secretly enjoy her taking the mick.

"Yeah. She's lovely. Honestly best person I've met. I think she's the one for me mum." I smile, loving how my heart feels when I speak about her.

"That's good bubba," mum says, taking a moment to yawn, "I'm off to bed, you should too."

"Yeah mum, I'll go now." I tell her, taking myself off up the stairs and into my room, hoping Jess is still awake.

Jess POV:
A yawn brings me to take the covers over me and bury my head deep into the pillow.

"Babe you still awake?" I hear a whisper at the door, before some feet shuffling around the room.

"Mhm." I whisper back, almost asleep but keeping myself awake for her.

A dip in the bed makes Leah's presence apparent. She shuffles up into my side and drapes an arm over my waist.

I move my head so it rests in the crook of her neck and carefully place a small kiss on it, making her giggle.

"Le?" I question, making sure she's still awake.

"Yeah?" She replies, keeping her eyes shut.

"Can I play on your phone cuz mines dead." I shyly ask her, remembering last time I asked she was unsure of it.

I place another small kiss into her neck to try and persuade her, not really wanting to go to sleep just yet.

"Sure," she says, inhaling deeply and bringing herself up so she can grab her phone for me, "just don't spend too long, we have training tomorrow."

As she lays herself back down she gives me a small kiss on the lips and snuggles herself back down into my body ready to sleep.

"Night Le. Sleep well. Love you." I whisper, opening up her phone.

"Night. Love you." She replies back, now sounding exhausted.

I place a kiss on her forehead before opening up her phone and scrolling a bit on TikTok. I have to say, I'm a bit addicted but I try not to go on it too much.

After about 10 minutes of scrolling, I notice a message come through from someone I don't know, nor has Leah mentioned someone of this name to me.

I click onto the message, not before checking Leah is fast asleep, and begin to read it in my head.

It's from someone called Cassandra. It says "hey Leah, I was wondering if you wanted to get a coffee with me sometime. Cassandra x"

No she would absolutely not want to get a coffee with you Cassandra.

I decide to not message back, I don't want Leah to see this message in the future.

As I look back through their message chain, all of Cassandra's messages seem very flirtatious to me but Leah's look nothing like how she would message me.

She's messaging as if she's messaging Beth.

Either Leah is very oblivious to her flirting or she wants to remain friends which she hasn't said yet.

How I feel? Angry, that Leah hasn't said anything to me about this or this person. Relieved, that she's asleep, that I don't have to deal with this, that she probably won't see this message again. Upset, that she doesn't feel she can tell me about this, that I can't just walk away right now.

Sorry Cassandra but you can't just take my girlfriend away from me that easily.

I swipe off the app and onto notes where I type a message out to her "I love you ❤️" before turning the phone off and placing it on the bedside table.

I close my eyes and attempt to get some sleep for training tomorrow.

"I love you Leah." I smile down at her, placing my lips onto her hairline.

I was so happy and still am. Great goal from Alessia and whatever that goal from Hempo was 😂 but we still won
Idk y Sarina doesn't make so many subs because I think we needed more to be made cuz they're gonna be tired by Wednesday but hopefully we play fine and win against Australia
I think we actually have the potential right now to get to the finals, we just need to play well against Australia and score a goal or two
Also what the hell was going on with those 20 penalties in their game this morning 😂
Sorry but this ref was so bias in the first half of our match, like where were the fouls!!???
