16 - great minds think alike

I sit up so Leah can get in the shower and I can change while she showers. I change into a mini black dress and I im trying to clasp my necklace when Leah walks out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel. I turn around to face her and ask her cutely "Le, can you clasp my necklace for me please?" She replies, taking the necklace from me "of course my love, come here."I smile as she clasps it onto my neck, feeling her warm breath hit the back of it. She smiles "I really like your necklace. Where did you get it gorgeous?" I chuckle, turn around to face her and reply "I don't remember Le, I think it was a gift from my mum. Did you want me to close my eyes when your getting changed?" She smiles at me, sorting my hair out, "sure, but only if you want to."

I carefully sit on the bed and place my head between two pillows so I can check my phone but not see Leah changing. I click onto instagram and see that a fan had tagged me in a post about me. I watch the clip a few times smiling at it. It is a video of me scoring from the match and everyone celebrating with me. I sit up still looking at my phone and say "Le, look what a fan made for me." I look up from my phone, pointing it in her direction, only just realising she is completely naked. I straight away look backdown and say "shit! Sorry Le. I forgot you were getting changed." She chuckles and replies "its ok my love. Don't beat yourself up about it, it's a common mistake." I blush and ask "are you almost ready? I want to show you this video Le." She replies "look up if you want beautiful." I look up at her and see that she is only wearing pants and a bra which makes me blush harder. "Leah, I thought you said you were changed."

She locks eyes with me smiling and replies "I never said that love. Now come over here so you can show me that video while I get ready." I get up from the bed and walk over to her with a big smile spread across my face. She puts on her top as I show her the video and as she's putting on her trousers I place my hand on her shoulder. The video ends and she looks at me to say "that's so sweet. See, love, people care about you and they love you, even after one game im pretty sure they think you are awesome and I know you are going to bring great things to this team." I smile at her, hugging her by the waist and reply "thank you Le. You really are the best." She laughs softly and strokes my hair, saying proudly "I know im the best. You even admitted it so now you can't take it back." I pull away from the hug, rolling my eyes and muttering quietly but just enough for her to hear me "god, don't let your ego get too big." She pulls me back in, staring into my eyes making me smile slightly and she kisses me. I wrap my arms around her neck, kissing her gently as she places her hands on my waist returning the gentle kiss. I pull away from her, grabbing her hand and leading her out of the room all the way to the pub. I grab her bag as she locks the door before locking her finger with mine. The pub is only a few minutes walk from the hotel so we walk, chatting and smiling along together the whole way.

Once we get in, we see the other girls from the team so we go and sit down with them. We are sat with the team and a few other girls from Manchester United. Leah asks me whilst standing up "what drink did you want kiddo?" I blush and reply "whatever your having please Leah." She walks over to the bar to buy the drinks and once Leah is out of earshot all the teams' eyes are on me. Katie asks "so what's going on between you and Leah then?" Then Beth adds "Yeah, are you two a thing yet?" I turn my attention over to them and reply "I don't know what your talking about. We're just friends, I don't like her that way." Viv rolls her eyes as me and says "well, I think you do. I think we have all seen the way you look at her, and the way she looks at you." I pause for a minute, then reply "ok fine, maybe I do like her a bit, but I couldn't even ask her out with me because one, I don't have the courage to and two, its very much illegal for me to be with her anyway." They all roll their eyes at me whilst Beth mutters "ok miss goody pants." Leah walks back over to us, with two beers and giving one to me. I thank her as Beth carries on "looks like your doing something illegal right now." I laugh at her "oi, shut it!" as Leah asks "What's up with Beth? Beth you alright?" I respond to Leah quietly "I think Beth's probably just in a mood that she didn't score today, she will be fine when the karaoke starts though."

I take a sip of my beer and instantly pull a face as it is very bitter for my taste. The team laughs at me, with Beth laughing extra loudly trying to embarrass me, only embarrassing herself instead. I smile to myself as Leah pulls up a chair right next to me placing her arm around me, as if to claim me as her property, and whispers "tonight, i'm protecting you. You aren't going out of my sight at all, not even for a second." I take a big gulp of the beer, turning to Beth and telling her "She thinks she's going to look after me all night. From what I've heard, she doesn't do that when shes drunk. I highly doubt she's going to stay sober all night." Beth chuckles at me and says "she won't get drunk if that's what she said she would do. She sticks to her word and I know it, I've been her best friend for years." I look at Leah, who is chatting to the others, and I take a few more sips of my beer before putting it down on the table, grabbing her hand to pull her up and I tell her "cmon, get up. We're doing karaoke now, and I know just which song to do." She shakes her head and replies "nope, if I'm doing karaoke with you I'm choosing the song." I nod and she smiles at me, adding "ok good, we are doing Islands in the Stream." I grin at her and say back to her "no way, Le, I was going to choose that song too." I guess great minds think alike??

A/N: im loving writing this book, i hope you are enjoying reading this as much as i am writing it
It turns out Jess and Leah are so similar... will that cause problems later on in their relationship or will it make it stronger?
