There is this tale that has been on your mind ever since you stepped foot on this island. A tale that opens up the curtains of the era you currently live in.
The story goes on like this.
Wealth. Fame. Power. Gold Roger, the King of the Pirates, attained everything this world has to offer. At his death, the words he spoke drove countless men out to sea. 'My treasure? It's yours if you want it. Find it! I left all the world has there!'
"...And so men set sights on the Grand Line." The sea was filled with pirates in pursuit of their dreams. to hunt down the greatest treasure that is ever known to this day—the One Piece. That was the day that the world entered the 'Great Pirate Era.'" You recited the last paragraph of the story, which piqued your interest in visiting the Grand Line even more. It never failed to bring shivers down your spine, even after you had read the book many times.
And most of all, the mystery of the world's greatest treasure, One Piece, had your curiosity itching. It is said to be the amount of money that the world has, or it could be the lost histories or even the secrets of this world, according to various beliefs.
You didn't realize that you had tightened your hold on Loki, making him wriggle on your arms. Your heart was beating fast with excitement.
"That's why a lot of pirates want to enter the Grand Line." You stated. "I want to see it myself...the One Piece." You were no pirate, but even like you, everyone in this world wants to solve the mystery of what the One Piece is or even what it contains.
"That was seventeen years ago. In this place that we're standing right now..." You looked up at the tall platform that was in the middle of the plaza. "That platform was where the Pirate King himself was executed. He was born in this town and he died in this town."
Even Loki was captivated by this story. He had heard countless legends from you, but only a few of them had impressed him. It appears that this story has now been added to the list.
"To think a legendary pirate like him had lived here once, in the weakest seas of the world." You let out a huge breath. It was amazing and very lucky that you had landed on this part of the sea, to have a glance at one of the impactful histories of this age. You were lost in your mind, staring at the platform that Loki had jumped off your arms and sat on the ground, glaring at you. You blinked in realization that there was no sign of the fluff on your arms, so you looked down at the cat.
