"How do I look?" You twirl around the mirror, checking yourself out. The outfit of the day you chose was a simple, elegant white summer dress that falls just above your knees. The neckline reveals a hint of cleavage, and you paired it perfectly with a chic straw hat and a matching white bag.
"It looks fine." Loki nonchalantly commented.
"Well, I look pretty I do say so myself!" You grinned as you admired yourself. "Dresses are just the best, especially with this weather."
"Whatever, just don't forget why we're here also." The familiar reminded you once again as he crossed his arms.
You smiled in reassurance. "I know! I know! This city looks big and bustling, so I'm hoping their supply of herbs is of the highest quality." Your smile slowly drops when you notice he's back in his human form. 'Loki's in that form most of the time.'
"I noticed too that you're shifting in your human form lately. Why is that?"
Loki raised his eyebrows and clenched his fists. "Oh... I just felt like it. I still prefer my original form, but being human is more convenient. Also, I want to improve fighting in this form."
"You're not forcing yourself, are you?" You asked worriedly. Shifting into other forms can be uncomfortable for many familiars. With Loki, though, it's hard to tell since he doesn't show much beyond his usual self.
Loki scoffed. "I assure you I am not. I'll shift back to my original form when we leave the Spade Pirates."
"I see..." You nodded slowly in understanding. "Also, fighting? True, I need to improve my ability to fight. We can start training again if you like. I do want to find an isolated island so I can refine my physical and magical abilities."
"It's been a while since I've seen you get serious about using your magic," Loki remarked, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully.
"Yeah," You replied with a sigh. "Even though I'm keeping it a secret, it doesn't mean I have to neglect it. I need to stay sharp and be ready for anything. Training in seclusion might be just what I need to push my limits." You uttered with determination while raising your fist high.
