"We're here."

You sighed, gazing at the port of the island where residents were waving at you from the empty spot where your ship could dock. You hadn't even set foot on the island yet, but the heat was already unbearable. It had been a while since you'd visited a place like this.

Even Loki wasn't used to the heat, so he shifted to his human form for the time being, sitting on the ship's railings. He was already grumbling about the intense heat (well, he was still an animal, after all—an animal with a thick coat of fur). You could only offer him a reassuring thumbs-up, which made his eye twitch in annoyance.

"Bird, when will the Logpose record this island?" He asked.

Adarna cawed in reply. "Two weeks!"

You sweatdropped at his harsh treatment of your creation. Even though she was made of wood, her soul was clearly from the underworld—a lost soul. This was one of the requirements for performing a "creation," or bringing inanimate objects to life.

"First of all, don't call her a bird. That 'bird' is in charge of steering and navigating our ship. Second, c'mon, it's been... a long time since we've been to a desert, so this should be an interesting adventure! Plus, we could try to get used to this climate since we never know what kind of island we'll encounter next."

"Whatever..." Loki muttered.

After docking the ship, you stepped down for a moment and paid the sailor who had assisted you.

"Man, I've never seen a ship like this! A house? That's unheard of. Won't it get destroyed or damaged by storms when you sail?"

"It's a sturdy house, made from the strongest materials I could afford!" You chuckled, smoothly lying. It was true that it was made from the finest materials—materials that didn't even exist in this world. You thought to yourself, 'Wow, it's been so long since I've had this cottage.'

This house has been your childhood home for as long as you can remember, changing over time but always staying a part of you. You can't leave it, not only because of the memories, but because of the ritual circle in the basement—a key part of your magic, also where you cast your forbidden magic; the 'Realm Breaker'.
