"601..."
ONE HOUR AGO
"There's our free drinks." You said, raising a finger and pointing toward the long table lined with glasses. Sure enough, a staff member behind the table was calling out to passing guests, encouraging them to take one.
"Aight." Loki nodded, and the two of you made your way toward the table.
Looking through the available options, your eyes wandered over the colorful array of unfamiliar cocktail drinks. Some glowing faintly, others decorated with fruit slices or tiny umbrellas.
"Anything you like in particular?" A woman's voice asked. You glanced up to see her smiling politely.
She wore a tailored black suit with a white undershirt and a thin tie, your typical professional look. Her shoulder-length hair was sleek and straight, styled with soft bangs that framed her face neatly. Her hands folded in front of her, eyes attentive.
You hummed, eyes scanning the lineup of glittering drinks. "Something light, to start the night."
"I'd recommend the Desert Mirage." She said, reaching for a drink near the center of the display. It was a stunning layered cocktail; deep amber base, rising to a golden-orange hue at the top, served over crushed ice in a martini glass. A sprig of mint, a slice of lime, and a cherry nestled on top made it both inviting and exotic.
"It's a blend of dark and light rum, lime juice, orange liqueur, and a touch of almond syrup." She explained. "Sweet, tangy, and just strong enough to surprise you. It's one of our most popular picks during festival week."
"Sure I'll have that thanks." She hands you the glass and glances at your familiar. "How about your partner here?"
Loki leaned slightly forward, giving the selection a half-interested glance. "Drinks are a little too fancy for my taste. Got anything strong and simple?"
"Of course." She said with a nod and handed him a drink. "We've got a classic Buster Shot—just dark rum with a splash of lime. No frills, just burn."
"Now that's more my style." He smirked as he swirls his drink.
