As you reached the base of the stage, two sharply dressed casino guards stood before the velvet-curtained entrance, eyeing you warily. Before they could even ask, Robin pulled a sleek black badge from her inner coat pocket and flashed it quickly.
"She's with me." She said smoothly.
The guards exchanged a glance, then stepped aside. Robin held the curtain open for you with a small nod. "After you."
You stepped inside, feeling the atmosphere shift the moment the thick curtain fell shut behind you. The music outside became a distant hum. Robin led you deeper into the casino, to a more private section where only a few people lingered. Each one being discreetly escorted by staff.
Then, you felt it.
A calling.
"Robinnnnn...!"
"Yes?"
"...someone is calling me...to the restroom..."
"...Hmm?"
"...I need to pee."
Robin sighed lightly but nodded. "Alright, I'll guide you to the nearby restroom first." She walked you over to the nearby restrooms and told you she would wait out there.
You went in to do your business. 'Relief!' But as you washed your hands, you could feel Loki's presence nearby. Your curiosity flared. 'Sorry! Also, I'm nosy. I want to know what they're talking about.' With a mischievous grin, you activated the stealth spell you'd used earlier.
Slipping past Robin unnoticed as you left the restroom. Robin waited patiently outside, unaware. You circled back around and popped up in front of her, waving a hand dramatically in front of her face and snickering.
"Perks of being a witch." You whispered. "Well, then since I'm here now, might as well check on him."
Then, focusing on the bond you shared with your familiar, you began to follow the faint pull of Loki's presence through the casino halls.
