I chose to sit next to Glenn as I didn't know anyone else, besides Sofia, that is.

A blonde woman with long hair came in and served the table with a younger blonde girl, probably in her late teens, and the woman who was besides Glenn earlier. They served big plates of sandwiches, which wasn't that big of a meal, but compared to canned food, it was a luxury.

Glenn nudged me and nodded to the woman he was with earlier.
"Maggie makes the best sandwiches."
I raised a brow and looked at him, scanning his face.
"You like her don't you?"
He choked on his sandwich and began coughing, grabbing his cup of water and chugging it.
"Oh my god, you actually do have a crush on her. Little sunshine, when did you grow up?" I teased and he smacked my arm and gave me a playful glare.
"At least I have a crush."
I rolled my eyes and began to eat.
"I leave you for a couple months and you get all sassy..."
He grinned and nudged me.
"Scared you'll get replaced?"
I dramatically gasped, then gave him a smug look.
"You wish. You can try."
He snorted and stuffed his face with a bite of his sandwich.
"You haven't changed a bit.."
I smiled at him.
"Neither have you, Glennie."
He grinned.
"I'm glad you're back. I missed you."
I felt a sting in my heart as I thought about whether to actually stay or not.
"I missed you too.."

Throughout dinner everyone introduced themselves to me. I had learned that this was Hershel's farm and he had two daughters, Maggie and Beth. Beth's boyfriend Jimmy and their family friend Patricia was staying with them.

I learned that the leader of Glenn's group was the cop, Rick. He had a wife and son. Lori and Carl. The bald guy was his best friend, Shane. Sofia's mother was called Carol, and the list went on. I suppose you could say having a social butterfly best friend helped in some situations.

After we were done eating, Glenn was about to show me around, when Rick approached us.

He tilted his hat as a greeting to us, then looked to me.
"Hey, uh...thanks. For finding, Sofia" He said softly.
I nodded my head.
"You're welcome to stay with us. In fact, it would be nice if you did." Rick offered, looking me in the eyes.
Glenn smiled and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"She will. She can stay with me."
I nudged Glenn and he dramatically let go.
"Who asked you, huh?" I said sassily.
He pouted and rubbed his arm.
Rick looked to me, wanting to confirm if I would stay.
"Is that true? Are you staying?"
I was silent as I thought for a long time.

I wasn't a people person and I most certainly wasn't keen on trusting and living with a bunch of strangers I just met. But...Glenn was here. And, honestly, I knew Glenn well, hell, I knew him better than I knew myself. I knew he wouldn't stay with bad people, or people he didn't trust. He was good and he was honest. If he trusted them then...

I guess I'll trust him and trust them too...

After a while of consideration, I nodded to Rick.
"I'll stay. I can't leave Glenn behind."
Rick nodded.
"You two seem close." Rick said.
Glenn grinned and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"Y/n couldn't get rid of me if she tried."
Rick chuckled and then nodded to me.
"Tell me if you need anything, we owe you one." He said to me patting my shoulder.
I nodded awkwardly.
"Uhm, alright...thank you.."
He nodded, then patted my shoulder.
"Welcome to the group, Y/n." He said before leaving.

Glenn showed me to his tent, which was near the rv, the one Sophia had said belonged to Dale. I guess it was a good thing she recognised it, as I had learnt it was actually his.

I smiled a little and shook my head as Glenn lead me into his tent.
"God, you really haven't changed a bit."
Glenn rubbed his neck awkwardly.
"I..well-"
I sighed, stepping into his tent, trying not to step on his things.
"I actually think this is messier than the apartment was.."
He awkwardly laughed.
"Well...it's not like I can vacuum it..."
I tutted him.
"Just cause it's the end of the world, doesn't mean you don't have to tidy your things" I lectured.
He crossed his arms and pouted.
"I forgot how much sharing with you sucked." Glenn joked.
He chucked his stuff to one side, so I'd have space for mine, then looked to me with a mischievous grin as he bowed.
"Good enough, your majesty?" He sassed.
I rolled my eyes, a little smile tugging at my lips.
