The time Rick, Daryl and Merle were gone felt like forever as Glenn kept making stupid bear jokes as he stitched me up. It was honestly torture in itself...
By the time Rick and Daryl got back from letting the bear free, Glenn had finished stitching my ankle up.
Admittedly, it took him longer than it should have since he was too busy annoying me with his terrible jokes...
Before he could utter another one of his terrible dad jokes, I quickly ran off to greet Rick and Daryl by the fence. Though, Merle wasnt with them and was presumably still trying to get the bear pelts from under the rubble of the barn.
My ankle hurt a little as I ran, but honestly, anything was less painful than sitting through those jokes...
I rested on the fence and glared at them as they approached.
"You better have looked after him and placed him in a safe spot."
Daryl grumbled as he hopped the fence.
"Is a bear, it's gon' be just fine."
"But it was injured! Have a heart.."
Rick hopped over the fence after him and patted my shoulder.
"It'll be fine. It's better in the wild and safer for us."
I shrugged him off.
"It was a baby. We could've just trained it."
Daryl glared at me as he passed.
"An we have lil' ass-kicker."
He paused beside me and pointed a finger in my face.
"Wha' ya did was fuckin' stupid and reckless."
"You know I wouldn't risk lil' ass-kicker. Besides, I was just fine!"
I gestured to myself.
"I'm alive aren't I?"
Rick gave me a warning look.
"You got hurt. It was reckless."
I sighed and leaned on the fence, looking out to the woods.
"I was just trying to help. Besides, don't you think it's a little cruel to leave it like that?"
Rick rested his hand on my shoulder, guiding me away from the fence.
"It's too dangerous. We need to look out for ourselves first. It's just an animal, it will be fine."
Daryl grumbled and nodded back to the truck.
"Now sit yer ass down an' behave."
I clicked my tongue, but then walked closer, smirking in his face.
"You behave. You're no different from the bear you know, yet we keep you."He clicked his tongue and spun me around, placing his hand on my back as he pushed me away from Rick, back towards the truck.
Glenn hadn't moved an inch from where I had left him and he still seemed to be laughing from the last joke he had told...that, or he found our arguing funny.
Daryl shook his head and scowled at me.
"Annoyin' bitch..just do as yer told fer once."
I grumbled and walked ahead of him, making my way back to Glenn.
"Asshole. Taking my fur baby away..."
"Yer'll get over it."
I clicked my tongue and flipped him off.
"I'll pay you back for this, dickhead."
He snorted as he followed after me.
"Yea', yea', whatever ya say, princess."
"Fuck you, Dixon."
He hummed in amusement, but before he could talk back, Rick ushered us both back to Glenn, an amused smile on his face.
"Alright, that's enough. Let's finish what we came here for. You can argue with each other later."
I hummed and scowled at Daryl as I looked him up and down.
"There's still a bear here though, I thought they weren't allowed?"
Daryl grunted and gave me an annoyed look, but Rick held him back, albeit with a smile on his face as he held back a laugh.
"Y/n.." He warned.
I gave the both of them an amused look as I scanned Daryl's annoyed expression and surrendered my arms.
"Alright, alright. I'll behave."
I paused for a moment, then smirked at Daryl.
"As long as that thing does."
He grumbled and scowled at me, making me smirk even more.
"What?"
He shook his head.
"Yer more of a thing than me."Rick chuckled and patted our shoulders and walked over to Glenn, leaving Daryl and myself behind.
"Come on you two.."
I hummed and nodded, following after him, leaving Daryl behind as I caught up to Rick.
"Yes'sir."
Daryl clicked his tongue and stormed after me.
"So ye listen te Rick an' not me?"
I flipped him off.
"Rick isn't an asshole."
He grumbled and mumbled something, but didn't say anything more.
