Our crew quickly got to work...after Glenn and I got scolded that is, and split into teams of two. Glenn and Maggie. Bob and the kid...who's name I still couldn't remember. And Daryl and myself.

The store was completely trashed and smelt just as bad thanks to the damp and mold, but hey, at least there weren't rotting corpses inside, so...it could be worse...just barely...

Though we split to cover more ground, we never really strayed too far from each other, mainly because we wanted to keep an eye on Bob and the kid. It was both their first time on a run, so we had to babysit them a little and teach the the ropes...which Daryl wasn't too pleased about, but I found it pretty amusing, especially when the kid decided to keep bothering Daryl by asking him questions...

It was always funny seeing his annoyed face...

I stuffed my bag full of all sorts of food along with Daryl as the kid kept peeking at him from the far end of our isle.

The kid was an...admirer, of sorts. Actually, a lot of the kids looked up to Daryl, he just avoided them because...
well, he was Daryl. He was pretty awkward around the kids, didn't know what to do or say...it was pretty cute.

A lot of people looked up to him actually, ever since he brought back some venison from one of his hunts he's been quite popular...especially among the younger residents.

I nudged Daryl with a little smirk on my face, and nodded over to the kid.
"Looks like you've got an admirer..."
He followed my gaze and grumbled.
"Just some kid.."
"Awh, come on now..."
I nudged him.
"Go talk to him. He looks like a list little puppy..."
Daryl grumbled and scowled at me, causing me to pout and give him puppy eyes.
"You're breaking his little heart..."
He grumbled.
"He'll live."
I chuckled a little.
"Don't you want a little sidekick?"
He grunted.
"Yer enough as it is..."
I gave him an amused look.
"Is that a compliment or insult?"
He smirked.
"Both."
I chuckled.
"Well, as honoured as I am..."
He eyed me, knowing exactly what I was about to do.
"Don't-"
I grinned and looked over to the kid.
"Hey, kid! Come help us for a second!"
Daryl let out a loud groan when the kid started to run over.
"I hate you so much..."
I smirked at him.
"I love you too."
He grumbled.
"Get yer ears cleaned.."
"Get your attitude cleaned."
"Yer so annoyin'..."
The kid popped up beside us.
"You needed help?"

Daryl and I stopped bickering, then looked to the kid. I offered him a smile, but Daryl grumbled like usual, then shuffled away slightly, avoiding the kid entirely.

Honestly...I just wanted to annoy Daryl a little...it was always fun seeing his grumpy face...

Annoying him was probably my favourite hobby...and it was amusing, which was always a plus.

Daryl eyed me, then looked back to the kid.
"No. We-"
I quickly slapped my hand over his mouth and grinned.
"Yes! More specifically, Daryl needs your help!"
The kids eyes sparkled slightly as he looked to Daryl.
"Really?"
Daryl grumbled as he grabbed my wrist and ripped my hand off his mouth.
"No-"
I quickly covered his mouth again.
"Yes!"
The kid looked between us awkwardly.
"Umm..so...do you need me, orrr..?"

Daryl grumbled and poked his tongue out, licking my hand slightly, causing me to immediately pull it away.
"Eww, Daryl-"
He narrowed his eyes at me.
"You do tha' again, I'll bite you next time."
I poked my tongue out at him.
"I dare you."
He clicked his tone.
"So childish..."
He turned back to the kid.
"Ignore her we don'-"
I rested my arm on his shoulder.
"Ignore, Dickie. He's shy. We need your help find...errr..."
I scanned the shelves.
"Umm..."
Daryl rolled his eyes, then looked to the kid.
"We don'-"
I grinned.
"Scraps."
Daryl raised a brow.
"Scraps? That's the best you could-"
I hit Daryl's arm and grinned at the kid.
"Electronic scraps."
I tapped my nose.
"You're a young kiddo, I'm sure you know tech better than we do."
Daryl raised a brow.
"You ain't tha' old.."
I gave him an amused look.
"I'm not, no. But you don't know shit when it comes to tech."
I smirked.
"You might as well be a fossil."
He grumbled.
I gave him an amused look.
"Compared to you I'm a beautiful gem."
I wiggled my brows.
"Pricless."
He grumbled.
"Ya mean useless..."
I raised a brow.
"You literally steal-"
He smirked at me.
"Actually...yer right, ya are like a gem.."
He he leaned closer, his smirk growing.
"All yer good fer is sittin' still an lookin' pretty."
I clicked my tongue.
"I'm going to take that as a compliment..."
He gave me an amused look.
"Do whatever ya want, princess-"
"You little-"
