~Daryl's POV~
I couldn't get much sleep at all last night, I swear something was out there rustlin' in the woods, hell, I swear I heard a scream at some point. I wasn't sure if bein' on the road so long was finally catching up to me, or wether someone really was out there. It also didn't help that Maggie and Glenn were a little...loud...last night.
I was roughly shaken awake, almost falling off my bike. I squinted my eyes, lookin' up to see Rick.
"You seen Y/n?" He asked.
I grumbled and rubbed my eyes.
"In Carol's car ain't she?"
Rick shook his head and panic began to set in on his face.
I shrugged him off, thinking he was just being paranoid. He's been a bit on edge ever since the farm.
"I don' know man, maybe she's takin' a piss or somethin'."
"She's been missing since dawn."
I immediately sat up and glared at him.
"Ye wha'? And ye only just woke me!?"
"I didn't want you to worry-"
I stood up and pointed my finger at Rick.
"I ain't fuckin' worried 'bout that bitch, alrigh'!?"
"Alright, alright. I didn't want others to worry."
I nodded and grunted.
"Searched te cars?"
"Everyone single one."
"Te woods?"
"She's ain't there either."
I huffed and scratched my head.
"How deep did ye look?"
"A little into the treeline."
"Stupid bitch." I mumbled.
"What?"I knew I exactly what she had done. She's gone off to hunt for food. Alone.
I grabbed my crossbow and swung it on my back, beggin' to head to the woods, but Rick grabbed my arm and stopped me.
"Hell ye think ye doin'? Don' ye wanna find 'er?"
Rick sighed and rubbed his temples.
"You can't go out alone. Something could've happened to her. Their may be a herd of walkers, or survivors!"
I clicked my tongue.
"So wha'? Ye don' wanna look for 'er?"
"I'm saying we should be careful. Organised. I don't want what happened to Sophia to happen to her."
I thought about it for a moment then grunted.
"Aight."
Rick placed a hand on my shoulder and nodded.
"We'll find her."
I hit his arm off of me and grunted.
"Don' care wether we find her. Just don' want the others wailin'."
Rick chuckled and nodded.
"Sure, of course."Rick and I searched the woods a little but still couldn't find her. After around an hour, we decided to go back to camp, just in case she had returned, but from the sound of the wailin' and cryin', she hadn't.
When we got back to camp, practically everyone was lookin' for her, even the old geezers, Hershel and Dale. Only person that didn't bother lookin' was Lori. I knew she was pregnant but honestly, something about her attitude, about her not caring for Y/n, it really pissed me off.
As we were discussin' headin' out to search again, a sharp whistle pierced our ears. We all turned to see Y/n, standin' in front of us, grinnin' like she just killed a buck for the first time.
"Looking for me?" She sang.Everyone rushed over to her immediately, engulfin' her in hugs. I found myself relived that she had returned and rushed over to her with the others. I stepped forward to hug her, but stopped myself and decided to hang back.
'You ain't no-ones bitch, Daryl. And we ain't gonna start now.'
Everyone's hugs and relief soon turned into scoldin' and I could tell she was beginnin' to zone them out. I chuckled to myself as I watched her. She always did this. As soon as she began to get lectured, she'd act like a kid stickin' their fingers in their ears.
I could always tell when she wasn't listenin'. Her head always tilted up slightly and her pupils shrinked a little, showing more of her beautiful e/c eyes. I had to admit, despite her bein' an annoyin' bitch, I couldn't help but watch her sometimes...
To keep an eye on her! Yes, to keep an eye on her, to make sure she didn't do somethin' stupid. That bitch was far from pretty...yea', that was it..Y/n? Attractive? No..no...I didn't find her attractive...I would never...no..no..
