So it's been 5 months since everything between me and Si went down. I moved back in with him after a month and he got a restraining order against Diamond because she is really crazy. Right after she crashed our date , A week later she was leaving me threatening messages, taking about she was make sure I was out of the picture and that she don't care that we have kids together. We did fine out the gender of our baby and it's another girl. Silas is excited and he says he regrets that way he acted when I told him I was pregnant again. He already has a name picked out but he won't tell me what it is. We may try for a boy , Silas is content with just daughters but I really want a son.

Salem walked in with Silas.

Salem hugged my belly.

Salem - hi cookie

Silas smiled.

Salem started calling the baby cookie when I started showing.

She called her taco before she was born so it's fitting for the new baby.

Salem walked out and called for SyRai.

Evie - Silas

Silas - yeah

Evie - does Emmy know that SyRai is her aunt?

Silas - she knows but sees her as a big sister. She tells kids in her class, she has a big sister . I don't correct her. Sy'Rai told me kids think our family dynamic is weird. They think it's weird , she being raised by me because I'm her brother and not her dad.

Evie - you're doing an amazing job.

He kissed my forehead.

Silas - I'm about to go to work.

Evie - have fun babe.

Silas smiled and placed his hand on my belly.

Silas - and you don't give my baby a hard time.

Evie - she be giving me a hard time.

After Silas left for work, I went into Sy'Rai's room. Her and Salem were watching TV.

Rai - hey Evie

Evie - hey, y'all hungry?

Rai - we can eat cereal , you don't have to cook anything

Evie - I want to cook.

Rai touched my stomach.

Salem - why you keep eating watermelon seeds and getting a baby?

Evie - who told you that?

Salem - daddy

Evie - he's the one you gives them to me.

Salem - You still keeping eating it mommy

Evie - Your daddy wanted you to have a sibling

Salem - I got Rai.

Evie - I know baby.

Rai - Evie , I get bullied because I don't have parents

Evie - you have me and your brother

Rai - Silas is my brother and you are his wife. You're my sister in law , not my mom. I told the kids in my class that my mom and dad died.

Evie - your mom isn't dead

Rai - she almost killed you so she's dead to me . At least y'all care about me , some of the kids in my class have parents that don't care about them.

Evie - we're gonna always care about you. We love you Sy'Rai.

Rai - I love y'all too

I smiled as I listened to Mrs. Peters talk. She's the old white woman that I cook for. I've been working with her for 2 years now .

Mae - how's your wife?

Silas - my wife is good , we're having another baby

Mae - I have to give you something for that baby.

Silas - it's alright

Mae - no, I want to. Silas you sit and talk with me when you don't even have to. I see you more than I see my own kids. When I die , I'll fix them though.

Silas - Mrs. Mae-

Mae - I'm serious.

Mrs. Mar treats me like I'm her own and I appreciate it so much. She's meets Salem, Sy'Rai and Evie and she absolutely loves them, especially Salem.

She has other help around her house but they don't do much. When I get here in the morning, I have to help her out the bed and basically get her up because the nurses , her son pays for won't help her. She's complained numerous times and he won't fire them.

Mrs. Mae - you can live here when I die. I want to make sure you and your family are taken care of.

Silas - that's alright. We're fine where we are

Mrs. Mae you're more family to me than my own children and they're in their 40s and 50s. I've been sick a long time Silas and it's means a lot to me when you sit with me and talk.

Silas - it means a lot to me too

Before Silas started working for me , I wasn't being taken care of , the way that I should be. My kids gonna be hurt when I change my will and leave everything to Silas and his family. His family has been more family to me in the last two years than my own, they'll even spend holidays with me and I invite their family and friends.

Silas - you remember when I told you Evie was having another girl.

Mae - yes

Silas - guess what her name is.

Mae - it's starts with a S, I know that.

Silas - Solana Mae.

Mae - Mae?

Silas - we give our kids , the names of the most important people in our lives. For Salem , it was Evie's mom , Geneva. For this baby , it's you. I haven't told my wife yet but I plan to tonight.

Mae - her name is beautiful.

He hugged me.

I walked in the house to see Evie in the kitchen.

Silas - hi babe

Evie - hey, how was work?

Silas - good.

Evie - That's good baby. How's Mae doing?

Silas - she's not doing too good, but she was happy to see me.

Evie - go wash your hands and I'll make you a plate.

Evie smiled at me and I rubbed her belly.

Silas - her name is Solana Mae.

Evie - baby that's sweet. She has Mae's name.

Silas - she's like family so why not? Mae really wants to see everybody so I was thinking this weekend , we could go to her place.

Evie - that's fine

I felt the baby kick.

Evie - Sol stop it.

I kissed her stomach.
