I walked in my room and saw Evie getting dressed,

Evie - is your mom settled in

Silas - yeah

I pulled back the covers.

Evie - no sir. I was serious about you sleeping on the couch.

Silas - where you going?

Evie - out with Lorenzo

Silas - for what?

Evie - him and Grace invited me to dinner

Silas - and you didn't make me aware

Evie - I didn't want to get in the way of your time with mom

Silas - watch yourself

Evie - you brought her here without telling me first.

Silas - not like you would've been okay with it.

Evie - I'm done. I gotta go because you passing me off. Have fun with your mom.

I grabbed her waist.

Silas - we ain't done here.

Evie - and far as I'm concerned , we are.

Salem - mommy

I looked up seeing Salem standing in the door way.

Salem - I can't sleep.

I picked Salem up.

Evie grabbed her purse. She kissed Salem's cheek.

Evie - be good. I love you.

Salem - okay mommy

She walked out the house.

Salem - how come you're not going with mommy

Silas - mommy didn't invite me

Salem - oh. She probably will next time.

Silas - your mom is mad at me right now

Salem - why?

Silas - I should've talked with her about letting your grandma stay her but I didn't do that.

Salem - grandma Sophie is so nice. She made breakfast.

Evie didn't eat it though because she said she didn't want to be drugged again.

Salem - is mommy gonna leave you?

Silas - why you ask me that?

Salem - because mommy looked really pretty.

Silas - your mother always looks beautiful Emmy.   She just went out with her friend Renzo.

Salem - oh okay daddy.

I walked over to the table Renzo was sitting at with some man.

Renzo - dolcezza hey

Evie - hey Renzo

Renzo - Grace could make it, Miki got sick so I brought my brother. Evie this is my brother Luca,  Luca this is Geneviève.

I shook his hand.

Luca - you are gorgeous

Evie - thank you.

Renzo - cool it man, she's married.

Luca - it definitely understand why.

Renzo looked at his brother and rolled his eyes.

Renzo - how's Silas?

Evie - he's good , the kids are good. How are you and Grace?

Renzo - we're back together

Evie - congrats

Renzo - yeah

After a while , Evie went to the bathroom.

Luca - she is stunning. Look at her.

Renzo - I brought you here to have dinner not gawk at my friend

Luca - you haven't slept with her

Renzo - I respect her husband too much to do that to him. They got a family

Luca - damn that

Renzo - you do something and beat your ass myself

Luca laughed.

I know Evie and I know she would cheat on Silas but whatever my brother is doing he needs to stop.

Evie came back from the bathroom.

Luca  looked at her and smiled.

My older brother needs to stop because I'm not losing friends over his bullshit.

After I made it home and Renzo made sure I was safe I'm the house , I saw Sophia watching TV.

Evie - hey

Sophia - hey , he's really trying

Evie - what?

Sophia - Silas is trying to get you to understand me

Evie -  I don't know what kind of trance you have him in but no. Sophia I don't believe you changed because you gave almost killed me and you think I should forgive you. I did nothing but try to get you to like me but it wasn't good enough. So I don't think I ought to pursue a relationship with you until I see you've changed.

Sophia - I'm sorry

I went upstairs and saw Silas in the bathroom .

I wiped my makeup off and Silas unzipped my dress.

Silas - how was it ?

Evie - I got hit on by Renzo's brother

Silas - can you blame him.

Evie - shut up

Evie - come lay down

Silas - thought I was not allowed to sleep with you

Evie - get in this bed before  I change my mind

Silas - okay

I'm have to watch myself around Renzo's brother because I don't completely trust him unlike the trust I have for Renzo.
