After Rakim and Chris left, I went downstairs to see Silas holding Solana. Solana reached for me but Silas pulled her back
Silas - sit back baby , I got you. Mommy needs to rest
I grabbed her.
Silas - you need to get rid of that stank ass attitude
Evie - and you need to cut off your perverted ass cousin. Oh wait you won't do that. Right?
Silas- he said he grazed you

I sat my book down and pushed Silas off me.

Evie - get off me
Silas - Evie come on now. Don't start.

Silas ignored me pulling me towards him.
Silas - lay down and go to sleep.

I pushed him off me.
Silas - what is your problem?
Evie - my problem is that you don't believe me and yet you have the audacity to try and initiate sex like that's what I want.
Silas rolled his eyes
Evie - you know what I'm not dealing with tonight so pack your shit and go
Silas - go where
Evie - To hell if you want. I don't care where you go but you ain't gonna be staying up in here.
Silas - fine
He got up and packed a bag before walking out.
I heard the front door slam.

The Next Day
10 AM
I made breakfast for Salem and Sy'Rai and then went to get Solana up. I went in the kitchen and heard the front door opened.
Salem - DADDY
Silas sat his stuff down and Rakim walked in behind him.
Silas didn't say a word to me. He took Solana from me and took Salem and Sy'Rai outside to the backyard.
Rakim - he told me you kicked him out
Evie - Rakim get out
Rakim - or what?
He smiled and took a step towards me. I backed up.
Rakim - you are so pretty
He backed me up against the kitchen counter. I reached for a knife.
Evie - back up off me
Rakim - the way he talks about you, I wanna find out for myself.
He grabbed my waist and I swiped the knife across his arm causing him to bleed.
Rakim - you dumb bitch
He punched me.
Silas - what in the fuck.
Silas put Solana down and pushed Rakim out the way and ran over to me.
Silas - you okay?
I pushed him off me
Evie - I'm fine.
Silas - your nose is bleeding
I got up and walked in the bathroom.

I looked at Rakim.
Rakim - that crazy bitch cut me. It was a reflex.
Silas - what did you do to her?
Rakim - nothing
I looked at Sy'Rai
Silas - take them in your room please and shut the door and don't come out until I say. Okay?
She nodded and picked up Solana then grabbed Salem's hand and went in her room
Silas - did you touch my wife?
Rakim - I was tryna see if what you said about her was true.
Silas - so you did touch her.
Rakim - me and Chris share girls all the time she ain't no different
Silas - She's my wife. Dumbass.
Rakim - she parades herself around in these revealing ass clothes and you're cool with that. My nigga that's a whore and she shouldn't be treated with any type of respect because she wants to dress like that and you bitch made because you ain't got enough of a spine to tell her to put on some clothes.
I punched him repeatedly.
Evie walked out the bathroom , holding a washcloth on her nose.
Rakim - look at her.
He smiled as blood leaked from his nose.
Evie pulled me off him.
Silas - get the fuck out my house. We ain't cool no more
Rakim - I rode with you
Silas - find your way home
Rakim - all this over some bitch.
I'm not even gonna justify what he said with a response.
Evie - leave
He smiled at her and walked out.
I hugged Evie.
Silas - I'm sorry. I should've believed to you.
Evie sighed.
Silas - Geneviève baby. I'm sorry
Evie - I heard you.
She walked in SyRai's room and shut the door.
I guess I deserve the silent treatment after not believing her.
