I looked over at Silas as Lorenzo got up to use the bathroom.

He invited us to breakfast and he's had an attitude since we got here. It's like every time I talk to Renzo , he gets mad.

Evie - what's wrong with you?

Silas - nothing. Enjoy your date

Evie -  stop Silas.

Silas - I'm going back to the house.

Evie - fine

He got up and left money for the bill and left.

Lorenzo came back from the bathroom.

Lorenzo - where's Silas?

Evie - he went back to the house. I think I should head in too. Thank you for breakfast.

Lorenzo - you're welcome dolcezza

I smiled and got up , going back to the house.

I walked in the house and saw Silas sitting by the pool . I went out there.

Silas - that didn't last long.

Evie - Si stop it.

Silas - what?

Evie - I don't understand why you're jealous.

He got up.

Evie - I'm gonna go pack my stuff up. Obviously trying to get away for a while wasn't a good idea.

Silas - if you weren't in that nigga's face all the time, we wouldn't be in the position

Evie - now it's my fault because you got jealous. I wanted to go out and you said no weren't up for it so I went out myself , is it so wrong of me to want friends

Silas - Evie you can have friends but he likes you

Evie -  and how do you know

Silas - the way he looks at you is the same way I look at you

Evie -  Silas I can't right now. I'll just pack and we can go.  I'm sick of this jealous bullshit.

He grabbed my arm

Evie - I don't want to talk.

I snatched my arm away and walked off.

The entirety of the flight back home , Evie didn't talk to me and now that we're home, she still hasn't said a word.

I walked in the bathroom where she was.

Silas - Girls are downstairs eating. I made you a plate too.

She didn't say anything.

Silas -  I should've left your junkie ass alone.

She slapped me.  Her eyes watered.

Silas - don't put your fucking hands on me

Evie - is that all I am to you? Some junkie you helped fix.  You told me you never throw my addiction in my face like that. But here you are doing it.

Silas - I didn't m-

Evie - you said it so you meant it.  Since I'm just a junkie , what was your reason for helping me. What was your real motive behind helping me?

Silas - baby

Evie - tell me Silas.

Silas - I didn't mean it

She wiped her face.

Evie - move  Silas

Silas - no

Evie - MOVE

She pushed me and went in the closet

Silas - where you going

Evie - none of your business

Silas - Evie I don't want you to hurt yourself.

Evie - now you care , right? 

Silas - I've always cared about you

Evie - no , I'm just something you can fix.   Makes you feel good huh? 

She grabbed the keys and I grabbed her arm.

Silas - stop it now

Evie - for what? 

Silas - I'm sorry

Evie - you're not sorry

She went downstairs

Salem - what's wrong mommy?

Evie - I'm fine baby. Y'all are gonna stay with daddy while I go out

Silas - Evie I know what you're about to do and you can't throw away 4 years about sobriety like that

Evie - you can fix me , can't you. So it shouldn't matter. That's the reason for all of this.

Silas - sit down

She walked out the house and I followed her and grabbed her pulling her back.

Silas - I'm not playing with you right now

Evie - I should've left you alone. 

I pulled her into a hug and she cried and hit me in my chest

Evie -  I hate you so much

Silas - I'm sorry baby.  I didn't mean it. I love you

Evie - no you don't.

Silas - I do

Sy'Rai - Evie it's okay

She shook her head no.

Evie - I need to leave

She tried pulling away, but I held her.

Silas - calm down.

I went upstairs to check on Evie and saw her looking down at her ring

Evie - get out

Silas -  I'm sorry, I shouldn't have called you a junkie.

Evie -  you don't have to worry, I'm not going anywhere.  I do want to be alone tonight though.

Silas - okay

I walked out. She will never look at me the same away again.
