The yard at Miyagi-Do didn't look any different from the last time Demetri was there. As he stepped out into the sun, he felt a small twitch of a smile. The familiarity and serenity of the place welcomed him back with open arms. It gave him the feeling that things were going to be better, meaning this had to be a good idea.

However, as he took a look around, there were more people there than before. Miguel looked at Sam and she smiled at him, earning a small smile in return.

He'd come with former Cobra Kai students who had been kicked out of the dojo for completely ridiculous reasons. They'd been lost until Miguel reacquainted with them, though there was still some underlying tension among some old Cobras and the Miyagi-Dos. As such, Nate and Bert were still glaring at each other from their opposing sides of the yard, but no one was really worried about it. They'd come around for the greater good, Sam was sure.

Robby watched from the deck, hands in his pockets. Although he'd been unsure about reopening Miyagi-Do, he came along anyway to act as some kind of observer. It seemed a little counterproductive, but no one argued with him about it.

Demetri wished he'd join them, but after what happened, he didn't exactly blame Robby either. However, he did wonder why his friend felt like he had to be there when it was obvious he still had some things to work through with Sam and Miguel. They hadn't spoken much, and when they did it was mostly because Penelope was around. She was friends with everyone, so it was a little hard to avoid the people they weren't exactly friendly with, most of the time at least.

Trying to think through everything logically was starting to give Demetri a headache, so he pushed it aside for the time being. As far as he was concerned, none of it was a true issue - yet - and there was nothing to worry about within their group. They had to focus on Cobra Kai and how they were going to fight back, so he turned his attention onto that.

While it wasn't typical, it wasn't a total surprise to see Sam had taken charge of the lessons. She stood in front of everyone like a real leader, a determined look in her eyes. She was proud and ready to move forward, knowing there was a lot of work that needed to be done to catch up to Cobra Kai.

At her side was Miguel, who was just as much a leader figure as she was. He'd brought the former Cobras there in hopes they could join forces. He was still their friend, even if they had originally stayed with the rivaling dojo when he didn't agree with the direction it was going in. He didn't want to turn his back on the others that stayed, who were still there, but he was smart enough to see that Sensei Kreese wasn't the best teacher. It was a shame no one else listened to him, the now ex-Cobras having learned the hard way when they'd been booted to the curb.

As Demetri watched the two of them, he couldn't help but think that there was someone missing. It seemed he wasn't the only one thinking about it, either.

"What if your dad finds out?" Chris asked Sam.

She smirked and crossed her arms over her chest. "He's not gonna find out. He's out of town for business."

She appeared confident in her decision now more than ever and everyone else, aside from Robby, felt that it was right. They were going to do this and no one was around to stop them.
