The skatepark wasn't very busy, but as the day drew Penelope expected more people to show up. There was a group of guys at one end of the park with boards in hand, hyping each other up for their morning shenanigans; a few other people came through, but for the most part it was ill populated. Some joggers and dog walkers passed by, their route taking them around the concrete jungle, but they were there and gone again like the wind.
