The park wasn't so busy in the early morning, making it the perfect time to be there and film some cool karate videos. He knew it was a good idea to come out when no one else would be there, plus the sun would be out to give them the perfect lighting. There was hardly anyone else around, maybe an early morning jogger or someone walking their dog, so they wouldn't be interrupted. He would happily pat himself on the back for thinking of this.

He already knew most of the guys were gonna sleep in on a day when they didn't have to be at the dojo. It was summer vacation after all, but it wasn't as if they needed everyone to show up. For such a little project, they needed only the best of their dojo.

With Miguel at his side, Hawk grinned and they planned out what moves they wanted to show off. They were in a little debate on whether or not to include the basics or just do the newer, more advanced moves they had been learning.

As they talked it over, Tory walked up with a flirty smile directed at Miguel. She was wearing sports leggings and a cami, an outfit not too far off from the one she wore when they first met her. It showed off her figure, which Hawk imagined was on purpose since she was giving his friend bedroom eyes.

She joined the conversation, helping settle their little, albeit playful, disagreement. Not long after that, Aisha and Frankie joined them.

"Is this everyone that's coming?" Aisha asked as she checked the time.

Miguel nodded. "Pretty much, but that's okay. I think the five of us can manage to put something together."

Hawk grinned. "Yeah, something totally badass!"

With that being said, they got started. Finding a few spots that looked good, they took turns filming each other. Tory and Miguel did a little sparring, which ended with her on top of him in a position no one wanted to post online; Aisha and Frankie went through a sequence of punches and kicks, showing off a few different types of strikes; Hawk climbed up onto the playground equipment at some point and jumped off to perform a cool kick.

"Dude, that was so cool!" Miguel cheered, laughing with Tory and Aisha. Frankie rolled her eyes.

Hawk smirked at the camera before Aisha stopped recording. "So, now what?"

"Maybe a few more sparring matches?" Aisha suggested.

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea," Miguel said, grinning. "Who wants to go first?"

"I can," Frankie offered.

She had hardly spoken up since she got there, mostly nodding along to any plan she thought was good. Unlike every other day, she wasn't trying to cut anyone's head off with her eyes. She was still glaring, just not as harshly. It seemed a little off kilter for her, but Hawk didn't put it into question.

"Me too," Hawk said.

She cocked an eyebrow at him. "Looking for a rematch?"

"Hell yeah."

The group walked to flatter ground, Tory and Miguel taking a seat while Aisha got her camera ready again. Hawk and Frankie faced each other, and for the first time he was able to really look into her eyes. How she could have the same eyes as Penelope was beyond him, because while they were the same color, they were not the same eyes whatsoever.

Frankie's eyes were raging with emotions, like an angry ocean with unruly waves. He couldn't say for sure what all of those emotions were, but he was certain a lot of them were negative. They made her eyes dark and impossible to understand despite that saying of how the eyes were the windows into the soul. Whoever said that had clearly never met anyone who had their guard up one hundred percent of the time.
