Charlotte's p.o.v. . .

Today is the day I take my test!

Wow I sound so much like Tris from Divergent!

No but seriously, today is the day I give an entrance examination to get into The University of California, Los Angeles. It's an amazing college offering some really good medical courses. I was thinking about getting into Harvard but it's situated in Massachusetts and that would be a little too far away from LA.
It has always been my dream to pursue a career in medical field.

When my mom was going through her chemotherapy, I used to look at all the doctors and surgeons who treated her and helped her survive day after day even after it was almost impossible for her to continue living and aspire to become like them.

It had been my ambition to become a doctor since that time. It is such a noble profession. I would be privileged if I get a chance to provide my services to the sick and make them feel better.

Oh and today is also the day Zayn has his X FACTOR audition. I'm really excited about it and I also wanted to go with him but unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to due to my examination.

He has been a nervous wreck the entire week practicing the songs by different artists and genres.

But personally, I don't see why he has to worry so much. I mean he has a very unique and an amazing voice and the best part about it is that he can control it and not let it crack.

After trying a few songs, he finally decided to sing Let Me Love you by Mario about four days ago.

He sung it in front of me a couple of times and it sounds brilliant.

I'm sure he'll get selected for the next round and I'm also very glad that he took my advice and is finally going to show his talent to the world.

He was a little upset about the fact that I wouldn't be able to go with him but then he understands the importance of my examination and supports it.
And plus, he was happy about the fact that I wouldn't have to go to LA for giving the exam.
It's an online exam so I'll just have to go the one of the centers of the uni, here in Manchester, and give take my examination there.

"Charlotte c'mon! Let's get going. Zayn's here. " I here Tyler shout from the living room which makes me step out of my thoughts.

I take a final look at the mirror and straighten my top.
I decided to go for a faded blue skinny jeans and a simple floral chiffon shirt. It's better to keep it simple and comfortable than stylish but uncomfortable.
I jog downstairs and find Zayn and Tyler waiting at the porch for me.

"You look great! " Zayn compliments and I kiss him lightly.
"Thanks!" I say and motion for him and Tyler to step out of the porch and head towards our car.

"So you're ready for today?" I ask Zayn as he gets into the passenger seat and Tyler in the driver's .
"Not really. But I'm doing it anyway. For you!" He says by the time I get into the back seat.

"Good" I say and Tyler starts the car.

So our plan was to first drop me at my venue and then Tyler and Zayn would go for Zayn's audition. It's a good that the auditions were held in our city this time.

I then look out of the window and think about how our lives are going to change after this day. If I pass this examination with good grades, I'll get a scholarship for the uni and I'll have to move to LA.
And if Zayn gets selected for the next round, which he deifinately will, he'll have to go to London for a few months.
So basically, if things turn out to be in out favor, we'll have to get separated.

We both know about this but somehow we've not talked about it. Maybe he's afraid of moving away as much as I am.

Yes, I am afraid of moving away and leaving Zayn, Tyler and Sebastian.
But I have no other option and I hope the three of them get that.

Because the last time I talked to Sebastian, it was a week ago. I told him about this entrance exam and about how I'm gonna have to move to LA no matter what. He got angry and said that I wasn't trying hard enough to stay. I told him it's not true but he wasn't ready to listen to me at that time nor he is right now.
But I'm sure he'll come back when he realizes that it's not my fault that I have to move away.

As I'm looking out of the window, I see the examination building arriving and in no time Tyler kills the engine of the car.
We all get out of the car and meet at the hood.
I look at them expectantly and Tyler comes forward and hugs me.
"All the best Charlotte! I know you'll do great!" He says into my shoulders.
"Thanks" I mumble and we pull away.

Then Zayn comes forward and hugs me by my waist. "You're gonna ace this thing okay! I know it for sure! Don't get nervous!" He says into the crook of my neck.

"Says the person who's been a nervous wreck the entire week! " I mock and I see a smile playing in his lips as he pulls away.
"Whatever! " He says rolling his eyes to which I just bring my hands in the air as if to show that I accept defeat.

"Oh and best of luck to you mister! " I say as I punch him lightly on the chest. "Don't fall off the stage!"

"Yeah that is if I get on the stage!" He says

"Oh shut up! Of course you're gonna get on that damn stage! And you're also gonna nail it Rockstar!" I say and he raises and an eyebrow at the last word.

"Not yet and maybe never. I'm just doing this because you asked me to. Remember that! " He says.

"You have to stop saying that! You were going to have to unleash your talent at some point. So why not now Zayn? And I'm saying this because I know the awesomeness of your voice. if that's even a word! " I say and he just nods to that.

"But thank you for believing in me! No one has ever thought so much about me!" He says seriously.

"Duh! That's what girlfriends are for!" I say and pull him in for a sweet and long kiss.

Our kiss is broken by a woman who looks like she's in her late thirties.
She comes to the three of us and asks "are you kids here for the entrance examination of TUOC?"

"Umm..yea I'm here for that." I say awakardly.
"Then you better get registered. The exam starts in fifteen minutes!" She says and leaves .

"Alright, so this is it! Bye guys! And all the best for your audition Zayn! I know you'll do great! " I say and we do a little group hug sort of thing.

They both bid their good byes and finally leave.

I turn around and walk towards the entrance of the building.

first of all, I'd like to sincerely apologize for updating after a long and by that I mean a very very long time!
I'm not gonna make any excuses this time for not updating.
I just ran out of ideas for the story and I even thought about deleting it.
But then I thought that it's my first book and so no matter how it is, I'm not gonna delete it.
And I have 2.65k reads btw! Which is just amazing!
