Charlotte's p.o.v. . .

I found Cassie, my friend from English class standing alone in a corner with a drink. I went up to her and asked her why she was alone. She said she was waiting for her boyfriend to come. We talked for a bit and then her boyfriend finally arrived so she left with him.

I looked around for Tyler but he was nowhere to be found. I then realized that even zayn was missing. I just hoped that they both didn't get into any fight.

I started looking Sebastian. I finally found in the backyard with jack almost drunk.

" sorry jack I need Sebastian for a moment." I said to jack pulling sebastian by his sleeve.

"What do you want?" He asked a little tipsy.

"Tyler's not here and so isn't Zayn" I said.

"So? " he asked totally confused.

"do you think think that maybe they both got into a fight again?" I asked worried a little.

" oh please Charlotte! I'm sure everything's fine. You're just being paranoid. He said putting his hands on my shoulders.

"Yeah, maybe you're right." I said sighing "I just don't want anything to go wrong at least today on my birthday"

"And it won't! So just quit worrying okay! oh and look " he said pointing towards the house " There's your Zayn"

" he's not my zayn" I said glancing in the direction where zayn and looking back at sebastian.

"Sure. Whatever you say birthday gal!!" He said walking back to jack.

I felt a tap on my shoulder after sometime and so I turned around to see who it was.

It was Zayn. He was wearing a denim jacket that was unbuttoned and so the white shirt he was wearing underneath was visible along with simple black jeans.

"Happy birthday Charlotte!!" He said handing me a small little square thingy that was wrapped carefully.

"Thanks! And what's this?" I asked taking that thing from him.

"It's umm.. nothing. . just a little birthday  present.  Open it up" he said nervously.

"Okay"  I said doubtfully and unwrapped the present.

It was a beautiful ear cuff.

"wow this is beautiful. I love it" I said putting it on. "it looks great" he said after I turned sideways to show the earcuff on my ear. "thanks " i blushed 

"so umm... do you wanna dance?" he asked after a few seconds of just standing there awkardly.

" Yeah sure" I said.

We both entered the house again and went to the dance floor. Fireworks by Katy Perry was playing. "I love this song! " I said putting my hands in the air and moving from side to side. Zayn did the same. " Yeah me too!" He shouted over the music. We danced like that for a while when suddenly All of the stars by Ed sheeran started playing. Everyone around us started slow dancing with their boyfriends or girlfriends and we were both standing  awakardly in the middle of the dance floor.

"We should probably just umm.. s-slow dance " I said awkwardly.

" Yeah right" Zayn said putting his arms around my waist. I snaked my hands around his neck and started slow dancing.

I looked up at him just to find him looking at me already! I suddenly had a tingling feeling in the pit of my stomach and I realized that I was blushing. Why the hell was I blushing?  I thought
