So sorry it's taken me so long to update. But, here is a little something. I will hopefully be updating again either tomorrow or Thursday! Enjoy!

A few days later.
I woke up around ten thirty this morning. We had a home game the night before and Blake wanted to meet me for dinner afterwards. He was gone by the time I made my way downstairs and greeted by Chaney who was laying on the couch. I turned on the TV and opened the curtains before going back to sit on the couch. I then heard the door leading out the garage open as Chaney bolted for it.
"Hey boy, where's mom? Hmm? Did you wake her up like I told you too?" Blake asked as Chaney's collar jingled with excitement.
"Oh, hey baby," Blake said coming around the corner and joining me on the couch.
"Hey," I said leaning in for a kiss. I could tell he had showered recently. His shirt clung to his chest and there were small water droplets rested behind his ears.
"What are your plans for today?" He asked snaking his arm around my waist and bringing me closer to him.
"I think that I'm gonna go shopping today."
"Hmm planning on breaking the bank?" He said teasing.
"I like to think of it as helping the economy," I said to him as I put my feet on the coffee table.
"Oh, ok. That's a good way of putting it. Didn't you just go shopping like last week?"
"Yes, I did. I only bought shoes. I need to get clothes. I went to go get dressed to go to breakfast with your mom and I couldn't find a pair of jeans that fit comfortably. And I know I'm only gonna get bigger. I think I might also go get a pedicure too," I said glancing at my toes painted with lilac colored nail polish that was beginning to fade.
"You know it's all for baby G though. All that stuff will be worth it," Blake said to me.
"I know, I know. That's what everyone says. It's just frustrating in the moment."
"I'm sure it is. I can't say that I know what it's like. I can only imagine. But, you deserve it. You want some company?" Blake asked as I heard my phone vibrate on the coffee table.
"Hold that thought," I said swiping the unlock button to answer it. "Hello? Hey! Oh my god, are you in town? You're moving back? No way. No, I'm not at my place right now. I'm at my boyfriend's right now. Do you have the kids with you? I'll have to see them when Scott brings them. Today? Yeah, no come over and we can go shopping and do lunch. Yes! No, I want you to meet him. Yeah, so like one? Ok, I'll text you the address. Ok, bye," I said hanging up the phone smiling.
"Who was that?" Blake asked.
"My cousin, Rae. She's moving back here and she's coming in town today! I haven't seen her in like almost a year. She's coming over in a little bit--is that ok? We were gonna go shopping and stuff," I said propping my feet up on the table.
"Yeah, yeah of course. Do I get to meet her?"
"Of course. I was just telling her that I want her to meet you. Rae and I are super close. Just we haven't really seen each other since she moved to DC and I've been here with school and now work you know?"
"Yeah, life just gets busy," Blake said.
"Too damn busy."
"Are you sure you want me to meet her?" Blake asked.
"Of course I want you to meet her. Why?"
"Because it's just--I don't want her to see me like your mom does. She's on your mom's side of the family right?"
"Yes, she's on my mom's side but Blake you have nothing to worry about. Rae is so sweet. She's nothing like my mom. I promise you. And she means a lot to me and so does her husband and her kids."
"I mean if you think it'll be ok, I'm all for it. I just don't want you to get the wrath of your family because of me."
"Blake. C'mon," I said scooting toward him and putting my hands around his neck. "It's gonna be fine. I promise. Besides I love you. And you're my baby daddy, so she's bound to love you," I said as Blake leaned his head back and let out a rich laugh.
"You're something else," he said shaking his head.
"I can say the same about you."
"Baby daddy?" Blake said cocking his head.
"I can be your baby momma. I am your baby momma," I said as Blake continued to laugh.
"Ok, deal," Blake said kissing me lightly.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, your baby momma needs to go get ready and get a quick pedicure."

After getting back from the nail salon and grabbing a smoothie on the way home I texted Rae Blake's address. I was upset that Blake thought that she wouldn't like him. I understand why he thought that but I hate that he felt like that. I haven't even spoken to my mom since she reacted the way she did to Blake and I's news. I think that's why he's even been holding off on telling Tommy and Gail. They went back to Oklahoma at the end of last week. I want to tell everyone. But ever since my mom I feel like I can't even get the words out of my mouth. Like this baby is an embarrassment. I have another appointment in about two and a half weeks. Blake and I will finally get to find out if baby Griffin is a boy or a girl!

After pulling into the garage and going into the house I hear Blake talking in the living room then I hear a familiar laugh. DJ.
"Hey baby," Blake says from the couch as he sees me come from around the corner.
"Hey! And hello DJ," I said sitting next to Blake.
"Whaddup Sophie," he said loudly.
"Just working hard and shopping harder," I said smiling.
"You and Amber both. This chick yesterday spent over five hours at the mall yesterday. Five hours. Shit we were even late for our dinner reservations."
"It takes time," I said to DJ with a smirk on my face.
"She says it's a process," Blake added.
"Process my ass. Your boy was sittin' at home hungry," DJ said as Blake and I laughed.
"Speaking of food. You wanna go get some later? Soph is going out."
"Yeah man. Let's do it. I'm gonna go ahead and get out of here and shower but I'll hit you up soon," DJ said getting up.
"Yeah, man just text me," Blake said.
"Will do. I'll see you later Soph," DJ said giving me a friendly hug as Blake walked him out.

Soon after DJ left I heard a knock at the door. I got and looked in the peep hole to find the girl who I've been dying to see for months now.
"Oh my gosh!" I squealed as I opened the door.
"It's been too long Soph," Rae said wrapping her arms tightly around me. We stood there in the doorway for a moment just holding each other. Rae was like my sister. My sister that I hadn't seen in nearly a year.

As we both let go I stepped back and let her in the house. She was wearing black jeans with an loose fitting gray tank top and brown sandals. Her platinum hair was pulled back into a bun and a pair of sunglasses rested on the top of her head.
"This is place is amazing," she said walking in and setting her purse by the front door.
"Thank you. It isn't mine," I said laughing as Rae continued to walk toward the kitchen in awe.
"God, what kind of job does he have cause Scott needs to get that job. I want a place like this!"
"Ahahaha, I've missed you so much," I said as we both hugged each other for a moment.
"I know. It's just been too long. Never again. I'll be back here in LA and everything will be back to normal."
"I'm so glad," I said smiling as I saw Blake come down the stairs out of the corner of my eye. I waved him over as Rae and I let go of each other for the second time.
"Rae, I want you to meet Blake. Blake this is Rae," I said walking toward Blake and taking his hand in mine.
"Holy shit," Rae gasped.
"What? Is something wrong?" I asked nervously.
"Is he your boyfriend? Blake Griffin is your boyfriend?"
"Yes, Blake Griffin is my boyfriend," I said laughing.
"Hey, I'm Blake," he said stepping forward a little bit with his hand out.
"Yes, yes. Nice to meet you. I know who you are. My husband of course loves you and the rest of the team. Damn Soph, you did good!" Rae said as both Blake and I busted out laughing.
"Thank you Rae. He's definitely a keeper," I said rubbing my hand on Blake's chest and looking up at him.

So there is part one! What do you guys think abut Rae so far?? You'll be seeing more of her and some other new characters!
