It was decided that Otto would be among the very first who would be put to the sword with the charges of treason.

Criston along with some of the other members on Aegon's council were locked up until the queen decided on what their sentence should be.

Rhaenyra had no intention at first to house the stay of any of Alicent's children and Alicent herself. She'd thought about stripping them off their title and exiling them to the free cities.

But with Aemond rushing to Jace's aid and then Helaena being sent away from the battle under the protection of Eirlys, Rhaenyra was torn with her decision.

These children quiet obviously harboured no ill will amongst themselves, they were just merely pawns carrying out the wishes of the elders.

Yet they were all traitors to the realm. They all swore fealty to the one who usurped the throne.

Rhaenyra was willing to pardon Helaena, Aemond and Daeron on the condition that they all bend the knee to her; but for Aegon, she had made the decision to strip him of all his wealth and titles.

Daemon had insisted on beheading him but Eirlys had pleaded with her mother to spare him. 'He never wished for any of this' she told her and despite Daemon opposing the idea of letting him keep his life, Rhaenyra listened to her daughter and simply let Aegon live as a mere squire to one of his brothers.

Aegon did not take the news well, he was both enraged and saddened to know that he wasn't even going to be acknowledged as a prince nor lord.

Now he was just a man with the conqueror's name.

Whilst the king consort and the queen's council discussed what ought to be done with the rest of the prisoners, Rhaenyra went to the front yard to welcome her sons Luke, Aegon and Viserys along with Rhaena and Lyra who were brought to King's landing by Lord Corlys.

Corlys was deeply saddened by the news of his wife's passing and Rhaenyra knew that even though he never said it directly to her, he blamed her for Rhaenys' death.

The east wing of the Red Keep was in ruins and there were a number of casualties. There were builders and architects already put to to work to return the castle to its former glory.

Meanwhile each one's chambers had turned into their private infirmary. Everyone who fought the battle had been injured gravely, including Eirlys.

Aemond too was injured, but in comparison to himself it was Eirlys who needed most of the attention from the maesters.

"Prūmia" Eirlys reached her hand out to hold Aemond's, who was sitting next to her in bed "fetch me that ink and some parchment by the desk.."

"Eirlys" Aemond sighed but the princess continued in her weakened state.

"I must write down my will" she leaned her head against him "I have to.. I must.."

Aemond rolled his eye at her.

"Jorrāelagon" he gently kissed her temple "you are not going to die. Your wounds have been cleaned, stitched and wrapped. The maesters said-"

"You have to make sure to feed Ember eel" Eirlys went on, telling him things that he'd have to take care of once she passed "he likes eel. Oh and- gods my books, please don't give away my books. You may use my sword if you'd like"

Aemond's lips curled into an amused smile.

His wife had turned into quiet the character after she'd chugged down two glasses of milk of the poppy.

Now she was convinced that her wounds were fatal and that she would be dead by the morrow.

"You're laughing at me" she turned slightly to look at him with utmost seriousness "your wife is dying and you don't care"
