Aemond had gone to tell his mother and siblings of what had happened, though he was sure they already knew of Aegon's passing and who was responsible for it. He just wanted to tell them why Eirlys had done it.

Alicent pulled out her handkerchief to dab away the tears whilst Helaena simply looked away as she cried. Daeron only sighed as he walked away toward the fireplace, to avoid them seeing him cry.

When Eirlys came face to face with Helaena, she was expecting a slap to the face. It was heartbreaking seeing her so saddened.

Eirlys was almost startled when Helaena hugged her instead of hurling curses at her. She too, nervously wrapped her arms around her.

"I didn't want to.." Eirlys began sadly but Helaena interrupted her.

"I know, I know" she hugged her a bit tighter "it was either his life or your daughter's. I know what it feels like when your child's life is threatened"

Helaena had no doubt that Eirlys was just as sorrowful as her. It was evident as children that Eirlys and Aegon loved each other; so for her to put him to the sword must've been quiet difficult and in turn meant that she must've indeed been in a dire situation. Even for Aegon to threaten Eirlys and her daughter was quiet shocking. She had watched over the course of the moons her husband lose his sanity little by little but she had never imagined that he might rain down his fury on Eirlys.

Daeron too went to speak to Eirlys once they'd all gathered at the beach, clothed in black.

He was concerned for her and Lyra, who he'd heard had nearly been beheaded by his brother the night before. Eirlys simply told him she was fine, not wishing to speak any more than that.

Alicent was a lot more reserved than everyone. She did not speak to Eirlys, nor anyone else.

Aemond and Eirlys stood at the very front, with Ember and Vhagar present as well. They'd both arrived to the funeral on dragonback.

When the time came to have Ember set ablaze the pyre that held Jace, Eirlys couldn't seem to move.

Aemond who had already taken a step ahead paused when he saw her frozen still, tears streaming down her face.

He slowly walked toward her, taking her hands in his as he leaned in to whisper to her.

"Issi daor kesīr Eirlys, pōja jēda naejot botagon ēza keliton. Se jaes emagon brōztagon zirȳ lenton"

(They'r not here Eirlys, their time of suffering has ended. The gods have called them home)

She let him guide her forward, a few feet away from the pyres.

Aemond was the first who instructed Vhagar to light Aegon's pyre. He'd still kept his hand interlaced with Eirlys'.

The princess took a deep breath, shuddering before she sniffled and looked straight ahead.

"Dracarys"

She watched as the fires that spewed from dragons' mouth ate away at the wood and the remains of the two people she held dearly in her heart.

Eventually the fires started to die down, and slowly the small crowd dispersed.

Except for Eirlys, who stayed put.

It was Luke who'd come up to her, quiet hesitantly. He stood at her side silently for a few minutes before he spoke.

"He was my brother" he mumbled next to her "I might not remember him well, perhaps that's why it doesn't hurt as much. And I wanted to remember everything, I truly did, but now Im starting to hope I don't. It will only hurt more once I realise what I've lost, the bond, the friendship. Mother says we were very close"
