Ashley

The next morning, I woke up alone.

I reach my arm over to cuddle her and find nothing but an empty space next to me.

I can't say I'm surprised.

There have been many times where the person I had a one night stand with has up and left before the sun rose but this one felt different.

I felt a genuine connection with her last night and I hoped that she did to.

I crawl out of bed and do my morning routine before throwing on a large t shirt and shorts to wear around the house.

I open my bedroom door and the smell of freshly fried bacon and buttery pancakes hit my nose.

Puzzled, I head to the kitchen and I'm stunned to see Sam cooking away in there.

She's wearing her muscle shirt from last night and what looks to be a pair of my sweatpants as she flips a couple of pancakes in a pan.

I make my way over to her and when she notices me I see that same warm smile that she had the night before appear on her face.

"Well good morning beautiful. How'd you sleep?"

I blush trying my best to hide it as I look at what she has going on the stove.

"Pretty good actually. I wasn't expecting to wake up to someone cooking breakfast though."

She smiles and starts to plate up everything.

"I hope you don't mind. I was going to bring you breakfast in bed but you beat me out."

I blush a little harder as she sets our plates on the table.

"Y-you didn't have to do that. You're in my house, shouldn't I be treating you to breakfast?"

She sits at the table and looks me up and down before a smirk appears on her face.

"You treated me just fine last night. I'm just showing my gratitude."

My face heats up even more as I punch her in the arm.

"Ha ha you think you're so clever."

She laughs and we begin to enjoy the meal she made.

Throughout the day, we just hung out.

It wasn't sexual, even though there was light flirting every now and then.

We got to know each other a little better and before we knew it, a friendship had formed.

Don't get me wrong, she's insanely hot and the sex is amazing but, I like her as a person.

She's really easy to talk to and I feel like I can trust her with anything.

She randomly came into my life at the strangest moment but it feels like we've known each other forever.

A few months pass and our friendship has grown.

She's goofy and always tries to spoil me any chance she can even though were just friends.

We spend every moment we can together and I don't think I've ever been happier with anyone else.

There were a couple more times when we messed around but both decided it would be best to stay platonic.

That decision was a bit hard for me, but I know its for the best. I really care for Sam and I don't want to risk losing her.

I release a deep breath as I lock the back door of the bar.

"Another busy night."

I round the corner to the back parking lot and notice someone leaned up against my car in the fetal position.
