As I pull into Ashley's driveway, I have a million things running through my head.

Jason, my boyfriend, has been calling me non stop wanting to meet up but things have been kind of off.

He only calls me on the weekends and when I call him, it's like he's trying to rush me off the phone.

When I asked him about it a couple of weeks ago at the lake, he said that it was because he's been stressed out from work and when I call, he doesn't want the guys at the office to hear.

I trust him of course but, it's been happening more frequently lately. Now, my friend is calling me a bawling mess and I can't help but feel for her.

The last time we spoke, she said that things between her and Taylor were going well but right now, that doesn't seem like the case.

I don't mind coming over and helping but, i wonder why she didn't call Sam?

Those two are usually joined at the hip so for her to call me instead threw me off a little.

Are they fighting too?

I knock on her front door and turn the knob letting myself in. I sigh when I see her curled up in a ball on the couch and rush over to her. "Oh honey what happened? I though things were going good between you two?"

She sniffs and lays her head on my lap when I sit next to her. "I don't know what I did wrong. We came back from our trip a little urgently because of the thing going on with Sam and she seemed okay with it. I even came over afterwards and we had sex. Really good sex!"

I roll my eyes and gently play in her hair. "Okay okay we get it! Continue."

She cuddles up to my stomach and i gently rub her arm as she speaks. "After that I fell asleep. I was so tired from all of the stress and everything I just crashed immediately. When I woke up she was drinking. Don't get me wrong, she has a drink every now and then but this was different. I tried to kiss her and she pushed me off, yelling about Sam and how she isn't good enough. Where woul she even get that from?" She sighs wiping her eyes on her sleeve.

"She said that I said sams name. When I came."

I gasp. The plot thickens.

"I don't remember doing it but She swears I did. Now she doesn't want to be around me and I don't know how to fix this." Tears well in her eyes as I bring her in close.

This was way more than I expected.

I take a deep breath, and think for a second. "Well honey who do you want?" She looks up at me confused and I raise an eyebrow at her. "Don't play dumb. We both know that you've had a thing for Sam for a long time. Now that Taylor is here, she's an easy distraction from that. I know you care for her, but is she really the one that you want?"

she looks away thinking for a moment and sighs. "Taylor actually wants me. I want her too. I can see a future with her I just...I have to fix this."

I nod as she sits up wiping her eyes. "Okay babe, whatever makes you happy. I just would give her some time to cool off and when she's ready to talk, you two can work things out."

She nods and gives me a hug. "Thanks Sarah, I really needed this."

I smile and kiss the top of her head. "No worries love. Whenever you need me I'm there." She nods and makes her way to the kitchen to get us a drink when I remember a hole in the story. "Oh hey! What was Sam so upset about that you left your trip early? Don't get me wrong, I was happy to come over, but usually she's the first one you call."
